I built a $15 raspberry pi zero 2 W HamClock which I like much better the Geochron. I like the analemma, but I nearly took a shit when I saw the price tag. HamClock software is free, super easy to install, and in my opinion is a better and cleaner application.

Your presentation as always is excellent. If they included the ham bundle as a standard feature I would buy it. Retail, like DXE 499.00; if you buy it direct 450.00, not sure about shipping. One year bundle free.Whoopee, then70 bucks a year. Then in five year the price of the feature you need has doubled. Going to pass until they include one bundle as standard. Your idea about hurricanes and such was excellent. Thanks

Have it about a month with Ham package, and it's so so..it's a novelty, I wouldn't regard it as a tool. Ham radio package is extra, as is the Earthquake pack. Would I spend the 500 dollars again, no way, I would spend elsewhere in the hobby. It is for a specific Ham. I might box it and sell it on...if anyone is looking for an Atlas 2 4K cheap, drop me an email..

I need a stand alone version to place in my comms truck. All of the interactive services are nice BUT when one is out in BFE and there is no service other than Irridium, well you get the picture. Very nice and I formative presentation on this product.mi remember their "analogue" stand alone from some 20 + years ago, it was Not cheap but very functional.

Dunno If I connect to my projector run just a few hours that electric bill will be high wattage usage and bulb burnout too.

if you turned on literally all the layers it would be hard to understand and you'd be taxing the performance. Best to find a balance of information you can perceive.

Josh - HELP!! not an amateur question, but your the most knowledgesble tech guy ive seen to ask... CELL PHONES!! My A10e took a dump on me, and since 5G made it useless come Feb., what would you reccomend in an android phone, that is 5G compatable? Please, Obiwan, help a guy out!

Why is a large chunk of the northern hemisphere missing, It is not a world amateur radio map as we know it. we keep getting promised an update (Premium layer) that displays a full amateur radio map that displays the FULL world, its been over 5 years now and still nothing. What is everyone else's thoughts on this.?

I'm thinking that a significant number of ham operators are technically inclined. They likely have up to date personal computers with i7/i9 processors and video card with sufficient headroom to satisfy what this piece of proprietary hardware is doing. I think you already know where I am going, so I won't. Even with the 10% discount offer via email if you give them your name and email address, the balance plus the ongoing monthly fees make this as unattractive as it is beautiful. But isn't that just like life in general? ;)

Oddly enough that is on the Sony camera at 1080p. I think the shutter is wrong.

A PC with a decent processor and/or broadband service with reasonable speed would likely eliminate that "Max Headroom Vibe". I'm suggesting that the problem might be on your end. The video is smooth as silk over hear. I used to have a TS-2000 with an awful noise floor. I thought that everything else was my problem. Then I got my FTDX5000 and suddenly life got much better. I'm thinking you have a similar problem.

$500? then they ask for yearly subscription of $70 a year? How about this make it available as a download for pc's then just charge the yearly sub? No, they need to make a large markup on selling the hardware as well. Ripoff.

Totally off the wall comment but its been a long week and Im a few adult beverages deep. I caught a few key words at the start. Capture card. You do twitch. Thats all I needed for my tangent. We have games like PC Building Simulator. Pressure Washing Simulator. Lawn Mower Simulator. Farm Simulator. You get my point. Im guilty of cutting grass online when I should get off my rear and do it in real life... Someone needs to make HAM Radio Simulator. Choose the correct cables and/or antenna or bad SWR. Rummage though a parts bin to make antennas. Operate at the right time to get that last needed DX for that award. Integrate a Study Course / Quiz? Maybe in a Realistic Mode vs Arcade Mode to help study? Operate on the wrong band and get a knock on the door by the FCC? Hmmm. Sry - I blame the Blue Moons. Im biased given its my idea but, I think that would make for a crazy fun game and possibly spark some interest to those normally not into the hobby. Edited to say: Multiplayer. :)

Overpriced. The features on it, saw it at Huntsville, are websites that any internet saavy Ham can adjust a few windows to size and a day night 4K image with live news feeds and other layers that are also free. The State Department background in embassies Yes, can now be had for free. But if you are unable to operate a computer then this is for you...
