All credit to Geoff for an incredible cover of Marty Robbin's absolute classic Big Iron. What a pleasure to react to. #reaction #geoffcastellucci #martyrobbins #bigiron #classic #countrywestern #critique
I grew up with my dad's stereo and he had a couple of Marty Robbins albums. Geoff did a wonderful job with this. Love the purity in his high voice line.
Oh, Lord ! This cover is so smooth and sweet. I felt like riding a horse all through this song. But I missed the well known "Come on !" or "Let's go" from Geoff... It's true we've got a "Yeah!" though. Something is better than nothing, isn't it?
Who knew? Geoff DOES have a shirt with the sleeves still attached! Kathy must not have gotten to that one yet.... Geoff added some lyrics and music to the original - check out his comment in the description, I think it explains why pretty well. He spread them throughout the song, so at least he made it easy to figure out which were his new additions - if a line starts with the chorus or center Geoff singing "Big Iron", then that line and it's music is new. They come in pairs, so that also helps.
The way main Geoff looks so admiringly at his alter egos just cracks me up. It's so easy to think this is five identical brothers. And one and nineteen is actually 20. :) There was just Geoff and Kathy doing this one.
Hey, it weren't 119... 🤣 No! I wait with commenting, until I saw the whole video, of course! 😄 Besides of all mastery in musical/technically aspects (from vocals, layers, arrangement, etc), Geoff is a hell of a storyteller🤩. And he picks songs that tell a story (this one, but also "Don't mess around with Jim" before and others). It's the primary goal of singing (historically): Telling stories. Sadly, not every song in modern music tells a story as good as some older songs do. I love to listen to stories from Geoff.
Loved your reaction! Just want to point out that this is two songs/videos in a row for Geoff where the guy we expected to be laid out on the ground was not the one who 'got' it in the end. A trend? maybe?
