@@MuhammadAli-kg7ij Martins only had few big moments and makhachev knockout is one of them.He wasn't well rounded, not as skilled and was facing a much younger and reckless version of islam. Islam beats Martins 100/100 times but you can't say the same about belal. Neal displayed flawless takedown defense and punched belal all five rounds.
@@Morpheus_neo_trinity Belal was also younger and reckless, he is on 10 fights winning streak and beat 5 ranked fighters, since then Neal is 4-3 in his last 7 fights, he lost vs guys Wb and Magny, Luque is only decent fighter he beat in years
@@MuhammadAli-kg7ij All I'm saying is Neal is much better in comparison with Martins;skill wise. He wobbled Shavkat badly and had him in trouble multiple times.Shavkat shot close to 15 times and could only take him down once and shavkat is no ordinary wrestler he is a bjj black belt and a sambo specialist with good striking so this speaks a lot About Neal's Takedown defense.
If you don't like shavkat,it is okay, but that Guy will definitely finish all this Guys, dude.include you also if you challenge shavkat😂😂@@MuhammadAli-kg7ij
It’s a shame Geoff has had so many issues with his health, he could have been a title contender. His takedown defense is top-tier + lightning fast hands
Neal is just tough matchup for wrestlers, somehow has very good takedown defense (no idea how he does that without wrestling background, he has a talent for defensive wrestling) but doesn't wrestle offensively, so he can give trouble to guys like Belal or Shavkat but then Neal goes to lose guys like Garry, Thompson, even Magny.
This fight shows this game isn't all about how good you are, it's about how hard you work to get better, after this fight Belal went on 10 fights winning streak beating 5 ranked fighters, Neal lost vs Wonderboy, Mangy and Shavkat
Well Belal didn't strike at all with Wonderboy, he decided to let that hype fight just be his usual snoozefest, Mangy is an animal on the feet again and Shavkat would murder Belal way worse. I don't think Belal improved as much as you think compared to Neal, if anything Neal probably improved way more off of those losses and testing his limit on the feet. Belal looked fine against Brady who's not good at all if you ask me ( couldn't do shit against a lower weight Li Jingliang ) but he looked like shit against Leon, honestly that eye poke saved him from being KTFO Id be willing to bet Neal has a closer fight against Leon than Belal ever could. Maybe Im wrong we'll see soon but if the rematch resembles anything close to logic Belal has no chance in hell. Odds should be like -300+
@@Shallaan Belal is no2, next for title shot, Neal is no8, 2-3 in his last 5 fights, you still argue, Neal striked with Wb, cause he is a one-dimensional boxer, Belal is a well-rounded fighter who gets better every fight, Belal strikes with grappliers, grapplies with strikers, this is how you win in mma, Mma isn't kickboxing, Luque, Neal, Holland tried to strike with Wb, and they got picked a part and they will never get a title shot if they keep fighting same way, sentences begin with if/would/could/should mean nothing, Suppositions don't work in mma, Belal was underdog almost half of his fights, I will comeback to make fun of you once Belal becomes champion
@@Shallaan he outlanded Luque and Burns who are known for their vicious striking and punching power, overrated? Belal has 4th longest winning streak in welterweight history, he beat more ranked fighters than anyone currently, cry more, wait until Ufc 300, get your excuses ready
Definitely the most exciting fight Belal ever had. Because he couldn’t crotch sniff the whole fight and Neal layed those hands on him but Belal showed heart man because he got lit up. Neal is under rated
This is uncharacteristic of Belal to go after a fighter, but he lost. The shit from Geoff look powerful and hard. Credit to Belal for maintaining himself. If he played his game he could have held Geoff to it.
I'm convinced Belal started juicing like a maniac after the Leon fight 😂 Guys literally a different fighter and he's become so even more shredded. Plus hes in with Khabib's camp and theres definitely some murkiness there when it comes to PED's.
not really. I’m very happy he won, but neal is a stylistic nightmare matchup for belal. His takedown defense combined with his lethal striking is Belals kryptonite. If they fight 10 times belal loses most of them.
Wouldnt say easy....fight was competitive... in 3 round flash nockdown was scored by Neal with hooks and uppercut... Just Rahmonov can box... and kick well.
He beat him dude, you are reacting to a fight which is 5 years old and you completely forgot about how people evolves and experience is a thing this is the last fight he lost since then and after first Leon fight he completely change and became more competitive
Geoff Neal is underrated he only lost to the longest strikers in the division if Belal beat Edwards and he win a couple of fights he may have a shot... unluckly his next opponent is another long striker 🤷♀️
This is old version of Belal, Tough as nail, as you can see! and so reckless. Geoff Neal was lucky to fight him while he's being like that and won that fight. Nowdays Belal is on 9-winning streak while Geoff being 2-3 in his last 5 fights
This was January 2019 mate, in that 5 year's he's gone on a ten fight win streak.. Belal doesn't rush in anymore n isn't reckless. It'll be a really close fight with Leon. Neal did dominant but Belal had a lot of heart n didn't get finished. Neals take down defence is great, even as recent as the shavkat fight i think he only got taken down once. This was a great fight that Neal deserved to win... Belal didn't get smoked he just lost the fight and hasn't lost in 5 year's
Not sure. Belal hasn't really improved a lot he's just had good match ups that suit his style of just rushing strikers for 3 rounds. Put him in there with Usman or Edwards or Neal or Rakhmanov for 5 rounds and he gets eaten alive imo.
@tobysmith2081 Luque has taken a lot of damage and fell of a cliff in the last 18 months due to the fact that he gets wobbled everytime he fights. Belal has improved sure. But not like everyone thinks. Apart from Burns (who had just fought Masvidal weeks before)he hasn't got any significant victories against top 5
@@Triumphantchild and Leon couldn’t even string together a combination against a scared Covington that had the striking capability of 2013 khabib. Leon is literally a more boring version of Izzy.
@@bigsmall2842 Well yeah, it’s hard to string together a combo when your opponent’s backpedaling the entire time. Leon has far better defensive grappling than Izzy. Belal’s just a downgraded version of Usman.
