@DDslinky That's right. I'm Australian too, from Melbourne. You are quite right. People in the cities have more refined accents. I get told often that I sound British. Americans are amazed that we don't all speak like the late Steve Irwin.

@sidrahsiddiqui lol! Most Australians DO sound like that. The very broad accent that people overseas come to associate with Australians (through films etc) isn't actaully all that common - in the major cities at least....
