So now that I've watched it, I have to say that I disagree with your criteria of normal tricolor = boring and with punishing those flags that are similar to others. For me the nordics are solid A's and the pan-arab ones are solid B-tier. There's historical value on having families of flags that share ideals and that's cool for me.

Red Hawk doesn't like tricolors, also Red Hawk "Rwanda is very very cool but I want it symmetrical". It would just become a tricolor.

Hawk puts Puerto Rico C tier because of the blue color. I don’t know if he knows but thats a whole issue here in Puerto Rico. Depends on the tone of blue is what the flag symbolizes. Darker blue you want statehood for the island, light blue is independence. The blue on the video is the “happy” medium which technically is the official flag, but literally everybody uses a flag with different tones of blue lol

25:10 Niue is a territory in free association with New Zealand. It would have been jarring, but I think they should've put the New Zealand flag in the canton instead (so the Union Flag would be in the canton's canton)

i get maybe not liking tricolores but France man is SO iconic. the flag (and the roleplaying aspect) is literally the only reason ever to go revolutionary with any country ever

I actually like the Chinese flag, sure it’s just a variation of the typical communist flag so not very original, but I find the 5 stars visually cool and the red is a bit flashy so I find the flag quite elegant and pleasant to look at

I would have put Malawi, Antigua and maybe Jamayka and Seychelles in S tier, but Uganda, Gibraltar and Montenegro (I don't feel like the color scheme suits the complexity because of the not great contrast) probably lower. Poland (I would put their medieval eagle flag with the exact same colour scheme in S tier though, fucking awesome), Monaco and Indonesia are F tier for me though, so boring.

The red hawk, can you make a playthrough og you playing a nation in eu4 as somekind of series? You could maybe play as Brandenburg, France, Venice, og maybe Byzantium making the roman empire or something like that. That would really be worth to watch.

When hearing you talk about seals not being centered and symmetrical, I rembered sth. a former father-in-law of mine once said to me: "Symmetry is the aesthetics of primitives". 😀
