Yeah the oyster rule beyond West Drayton is certainly one that catches people out. All the barriers between Iver and Reading are only configured for Contactless and just throw up an error code on the barrier if you try to touch any form of Oyster (including Staff ones, which are perfectly valid all the way out to Reading, but just have to be shown to GWR gateline staff!)
@Gerry McNally oh right I thought he got charged max fare or something by the way he way saying got told off. Maybe an officer told him off or something
