The eclipse was worth the trip, including the traffic jam back north. I watched it from Kaskaskia, IL. If you're not familiar, it's an Illinois town west of the Mississippi that was once the capital of Illinois and is now nearly a ghost town. I recognized the WOW truck because I've heard their Internet service is way better than Comcast, but I live a few miles outside their range.
I lived near Seattle for the 2017 eclipse, and drove all the way down to Stayton OR for the eclipse. Traffic back to the hotel in Portland was nightmarish.
Lol I feel like growing up in the western suburbs you can tell the wealthier areas vs the north shore bc they have more land and are in more spread out areas, my first thought w Bloomingdales when it came up was that has to be Western suburbs
