Here are a few pointers in Turkey for the next time you try this: Büyükşehir = metropolitan Belediyesi = municipality Köy = village Sokak (Sk.) = street Cadde/si (Cad.) = Larger street Cami = Mosque Lise/si = High school İlkokul/u = Primary school Anaokul/u = Kindergarten When you are on a highway, the best tactic is to go find a highway sign, they are usually pretty clear in Turkey. If you're in a town, the best way to find where you're is to find a shop, they usually include the phone number and place, usually in (district / CITY format ie. Nilüfer / BURSA). These are things off the top of my head. But if there are any other words you would like to know reply to this and I'll get back to you.
Solid run except that unlucky long road, your pronounciations are pretty spot on too By the way “belediye(-si)” doesnt necessarily mean “city”, its direct translation would be “municipality” so a district or even groups of small towns can be called “blabla belediyesi”
