BTW it is impressive for an outsider to know of Woodward, but everyone in the state has heard of Woodward as it shows up on any weather broadcast on TV since its the biggest town in the area

I am from oklahoma and have heard of both, it's not super surprising to me that he knows woodward, but mooreland is crazy for an outsider to have heard of

Sees flag of Louisiana, then within 13 seconds zooms in on the exact street and gets a perfect score. Lmao, that is just mythical.

I grew up in Woodward, OK and spent tons of time at grandparents in Mooreland. The fact that you pinpointed that so quickly when that's a highway I've driven on a lot and would've definitely been slower than you at is just incredible. Top work

The other day I was speedrunning the United States and got a round where I was in the air port terminal of a pretty big city and all I could see was a bus that said “Houston airport” and so I went to the first air port I could find in Houston. Had no idea there was more than one airport

very, very well done! i've actually walked around that particular part of Austin haha. some of this was pretty amazing on your end. i've spent tons of time learning about random counties and cities in the US and that has fortunately paid off quite a bit when i finally started playing geoguessr yesterday--i'm still very new to it but getting better :^)

That’s just wow man. I’m not from USA so when I play guessr with my friends we are always struggling when we have dropped in a middle of nowhere on a us countryroad. The way you are navigating is very impressive and educational

Have you done or would you do a US state tips video? I besides learning the flags and shapes of the states, you else can we look for? Is there a system to the areacodes or which ones is worth remembering? Does every state have different shape highway signs like you used in this video to pinpoint the state?

The US area code system was deliberately designed so that no similar codes are next to each other, so there is as little pattern as possible. And even that has exceptions. 910 and 919 are next to each other in North Carolina.

Do you know if they plan to add other speed runs countries? Perhaps all of them? Would love to be able to compete for the fastest time in my home country.

Right now the rule for new categories is that there must be interest from several people, so if you can encourage a few people to attempt it, they'll probably add it!

@@ChicagoGeographer I guess if it's volunteers that have to verify the record attempt each time, I can't expect every country to be in there. Maybe the "sport" can grow enough so that every country can be in there.

In the normal world map, does it pick a random place, or a random country, and then a random place within that country?
