Oh yes the disgraced CIA director who couldn’t keep his (little general) in his pants and subsequently found guilty 2 years later of mishandling classified materials 😂

In response to the critical comments about General David H. Petraeus, General Petraeus, like many military leaders before him, has often been at the center of debates around military engagements and policies. It is crucial, however, to remember that no one bears the burdens of war more profoundly than those who serve in the military, especially those in command positions who make difficult decisions. The general, charged with making decisions that affect not only the lives of his troops but also broader national and international outcomes, operates under a weight of responsibility most of us will never know. The characterization of military leaders as war mongers overlooks the fundamental ethos of the American military and its leadership, which is steeped in a commitment to preserving peace and security. This commitment is not about promoting conflict; rather, it is about ensuring the safety and stability necessary for societies to thrive. American military efforts, under leaders like General Petraeus, often focus on securing environments that allow democratic values and human rights to flourish-ideals central to Americanism itself. The ultimate goal of the American soldier, and indeed the military leader, is not to wage war but to secure peace and freedom. General Petraeus's career has been dedicated to such objectives, whether through direct military engagement or his later roles that combine military insight with geopolitical strategy. His leadership in both the military and at institutions like KKR reflects a consistent dedication to preserving life, liberty, and human happiness. His work, particularly in roles involving economic strategies and global investments, aims at fostering environments where human rights and democratic principles can prosper. It is also worth noting that the strategies and decisions made by leaders like Petraeus are often driven by a broader strategic vision that looks beyond immediate conflict to long-term global stability. This perspective is crucial in today’s complex geopolitical climate, where the actions of the United States on foreign soils have far-reaching implications for international relations and global peace. In these discussions, it is vital to approach criticism with an open mind and consider the immense challenges and ethical dilemmas faced by those in positions of military leadership. Understanding the heavy responsibilities they carry should bring us to a more nuanced appreciation of their roles and the personal and professional sacrifices they make in the service of their country and its values.

Lecturing about his complete military debacle in Iraq ( which was on false pretence in the first place) , resonates with the debacle of your partners in Gaza who are already swamping in insurgency and quagmire. Biometric ID cards under the tunnel!

It seems he subtly slipped in those comments about putting those people in gated communities like the ones in Florida. What was that about?

I wouldn't blame him for the iraq war. He was there years after it started the real blame, 99.9% should go to the people who started it.

David Petraeus has been without a doubt the BEST active-on-the-ground general America had for a long time.🤏 I heard some middle eastern people praise his complicated patient & cowboy-free mentality that he showed & brought in Afghanistan & Iraq & helped drastically turning the war trajectory around, twice🤏
