Hi Rami, I am thinking to buy an iPhone 14pro to utilize the lydar in my drone projects. My question is if it's worth the money for the new gyro and accelerometers that it has over the iPhone 13pro
Hi, I made this project with an i13Pm and a drone, it is a factory, visible control points were marked, you can see the results here. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rYC3WnJBOY4.html
Yeah I’m here to question both this and it’s not like the LiDAR is different either is it? It’s been the same since introduced. This is just saying he’s got last weeks new phone!!! This will work on iPhone 12 Pro and beyond. You don’t need a 14.
love your videos helping me with my career in land surveying a lot. i’m the youngest in my department and i implement a lot but not all of these pointers to get the job done 👍🏼 if only they allowed drone surveying in my area (maryland, D.C). keep up the good videos!
Hey Rami, Have you used the IPhone Lidar to survey utility poles. I am curious how accurate you could get the length of a wood pole above ground and at what distance the iPhone starts to lose the ability to return points.
Cool job Rami! What will be the accuracy of the model? Can you use it for larger areas with bigger control points? Maybe if you can hold the iPhone 2-3 meters above your head? Greetings from Greece!!
fwiw as a professional Land Surveyor in the UK I am very impressed by your ability to communicate. Is the next step to correctly colourise the geo-referenced point cloud (to resolve the mis-alignment between camera and LiDAR sensor) by geo-referencing the photogrammetry solution and then combining it with the LiDAR. This might be why the apps I have tried so far give you one or the other and not a single point cloud.
Of the paid applications, Dot 3D is better. The program is able to optimize point clouds and correct shifts. Made reasonably and conveniently. The perfect solution! Look: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oWB0kEoaGmA.html
Very informative, thank you Rami. AFAIk the iphone 13's LIDAR scanner doesn't have the intensity feature, does the iPhone 14 comes with the intensity enabled?
BUMP. Can I get more info from this? Because I wanted to know about this too. I'm currently prototyping my own SLAM-LiDAR for mobile devices, and wanted to know the specs of iPhone's lidar if their intensity sensitivity is good for my purpose.
The targets have been unavailable on Amazon for a while. Has anyone found a good low-priced substitute? Also, I realize the target is made of reflective material, but would targets printed on plain paper give the same results with the iPhone?
wondering the same thing about paper targets. I have paper targets (~standard/A4 size) tht have been laminated, hoping they will be able to be used for georeferencing
Can you please explain to us how to use yusense ms600 multisepctra gimble to dji matrice 300 rtk throw dji pilot 2 application because when i check the type of camera inside the application I don't see this type of camera
You got me, 77.77, for some reason the last 7 before the decimal got deleted. We caught the error when the alignment failed the first time, but you know, background editing hides my mistakes. 😄
Hi Rami. Is it possible that you didn't export the intensity values. When i export in PTS Format the Intensity Value is 0 for every captured point. After importing the data into cloud compare. The software uses the blue value as scalar field. Maybe you can check in your data. Did you use the 3D Scanner App in Lidar Advanced Mode, then processed and exported the data as PTS File?
Yes, I use it in advance mode, the light intensity is export with a PTS extension, I’m not sure if it comes out with other extension files. I didn’t realize that when I brought this into Autodesk recap as an LAS file the intensity values were all zero.
@@RamiTamimi Alright, thanks for the fast response. I wonder if it may happen because i use the iphone13 pro max. Can you test if you have intensity values when exporting in PTS with the iphone13? The information would be very helpfull for me. I plan writing my bachelor thesis about a laserscanning comparison including i phone lidar data.
