This concerto is one of my favorites by handel, and this interpretation is my favorite, a subtle harmonic balance between the instruments and a real complicity between the performers that transcends the score. I regret living far from Bremer, it would be a real pleasure to listen to you live. THANKS.
Perhaps the most original and exquisitely joyful concerto from his op. 6 set played with virtuosic aplomb! One sensed they all enjoyed playing off each other. Great performance.
@@AloeAntinousAquila55 Absolutely. we must not forget them. Although I must admit that Delalande, De Mondeville I do not know. I have to look outside my German sphere.😀
Don’t forget the Italians : Vivaldi, the 2 Scarlatti, Pergolese, Corelli , Boccherini ….. And among the French add the glorious Charpentier…. His Te Deum is a monument !
What can I say, I simply love you all - your artistry and love of music soothes my soul and naturally melancholic nature. Your music uplifts me, a light of hope shining through a dark and scary world. Thank you.
MUCHAS GRACIAS POR ESTA MARAVILLOSA VERSIÓN DE MI CONCERTO GROSSO FAVORITO DE HAENDEL. SU MUSICA ME TRANSPORTA A UN ESTADO EN MI CUERPO Y ALMA ENCUENTRAN PAZ SOSIEGO...
The comfort of their wonderful and captivating performances is irreplaceable , and far superior splendor There is nothing like the luxury of appreciating cherry blossoms in full bloom in the moonlight on a Spring night while listening to this paramount performance From Tokyo where cherry blossoms are falling
ACH,🌟 MEIN SUß DAMEN UND HERREN VEREIN DIESE IST SOOO 🌟WUNDERBAR UND GLORREICHE. WIR LIEBEN SIE IMMER UND IMMER !!!! Sweet Michael J. Modesto, California 🎻______
Superb rendition! Scintillating performance...note subtle augmentation Flute+ Recorder for richness! One of my favourite works from Op.6!! Bravo Tutti!;->
The perfect mix between elegance and virtuosity. Händel used a lot of counterpoint, so each melodic voice is outstanding. In the last movement the contrast between the soloists and the ripieno is great, and the musicians enjoyed it very much. Excellent interpretation
That leading violinist there with the purple scarf-thing draped over one shoulder...aaahhh, be still my heart! How he makes that violin to sing like a soprano soloist! Such high, tremulous little notes! Most of the time, the violin sounds so sad -- a sweet and delicate sadness, though, not sharp and bitter -- but not here. It takes on a rather playful tone!
Nothing to add about the performance! But also, what glorious sound quality (listen with decent headphones if possible) - it starts with the ensemble, of course, but much credit to the recording engineers & audio producer. A beautiful balance of instruments and room ambiance, expertly distributed across the stereo field.
Superb rendition of my favourite baroque work, a creation of genius by GF Handel. You never tire of hearing Handel because you keep noticing little nuances that hitherto escaped you.
Too Echoey. The Cavernous Vaults of a Gothic Cathedral may very well suit the sounds of Gregorian Chant wafting up to Heaven, but they are hardly the ideal Acoustic for a modest Baroque Orchestra. That being said, the Orchestra played the Handel Concerto Grosso Brilliantly. Tho personally I would have taken the Second Movement at a more leisurely pace. What's the big.hurrry ? Oftimes performances of Baroque Music are ruined by runaway Conductors without a Train, more concerned with bravura pyrotechnics than with the Heart & Beauty of the Music.
Disagree about the venue. The larger church offers superb acoustics and lively presence, but it is up to the recording engineers to place their microphones to take advantage of what is offered. Succeeded very well here. Certainly better than a dry little "studio"!
Actually I was thinking more along the lines of a purpose built Concert Hall, like those excellent Venues in Dublin and Vienna. That being said, some equally excellent, exciting & extraordinary Recordings of all kinds of Musick have been made in Studios over the years. Abbey Road comes to.mind.
@@fredericconolly4767Abbey Road is not that great of an example. Performing and recording classical music from the Baroque would be more suited in large venues. More modern music the Beatles would be suited for the audio tweaking in studios.
