As a violist this feels vaguely disrespectful but at the same time I’m hooked and I love it

@@__414.88b_ no it’s cause I feel like modern classical music is looked down upon sometimes and having a piece like this for viola makes it seem kind of gimmicky

This needs to be programmed with Aperghis's Sextuor.

Very good writing as always from Haas, but not my favorite work by him. I prefer his orchestral music. Thanks for sharing anyway !

It's amazing how you either post beautiful songs, or... this kind of stuff

Louis Claudel Which is quite beautiful, but not a song...

Louis Claudel Oh, no, another person who thinks music they don't like is bad music? LOL.

Louis Claudel i would say this has many beautiful moments.

+dzc4627 No matter how large a consensus you might find on the perception of any piece of music, what is beautiful is still entirely personal and subjective... that was really the point I wanted to make. To this uploader, I imagine everything they post is in one way or another, to them, "beautiful."

I really like this piece - its not a song for sure, but I find I really appreciate Haas' approach to music.

landed here because i randomly was interested if there is somebody compareable to mozart or beethoven ....i like and know classic music countable on one hand ...usually listening to rap ( also other stuff , but mainly rap ) .... im open minded to any kind of music ....but my heart is more with rap ... my soul is just with sound that is enjoyable.... Haas is , like i read, the most named dude who is considered to be ''the best'' out there alive for that millenium ..... this is the first thing from him that im listening to..... from the first second my imagination started with Dantes Inferno .... but my thoughts saying ....lol this is kinda bad ....sry dont wanna hurt somebody , but really if this is one of the best out there now , then holy moly classic is kinda dead huh ..... i mean i know what im saying is kinda judging one sentence of a whole book with 1000 pages , while i didnt even read the book ...but really ... this is kinda sad ... yes there are beautifull pieces out there ...but no more legendary or visionary....nobody is breaking boundries or expectations or possiblities.... hmm nobody has that talent where you feel the hunger for the art itself .....

It's not though is it. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's shit music. And I quite like it so no, I didn't notice that it was "retarded". -_-
