About 6 years ago gordon did a 3 to 5 minute interview about george and he spoke about that goal. Banks just said mostly what i said there about the goal. Then he said "as i dived to block it george then went round the other side of me as he sold me the dummy, i was made to look an idiot out there, but in my heart i thought that was absolutly fantastic that was, but i couldnt show it, i couldnt go up to him and tap him on the shoulder and say that was brilliant george"
when ever a hear this song in the house on tv. i run into the living room lol becouse you know what and who it means. he was the goat. that first goal was just pure genius. and in 48 years i still havent saw any one control a ball like that to then lob it over big pat jeninngs and two men on the line. and never will see it again in that style and grace. no other player would have thought of doing that never mind just being able to do it.

But this is one of georges best goals and it hardly gets shown alot. Maybe becouse it isnt as fancy as alot of his other goals. But it shows alot about georges ability that people rarely talk about or see, and thats his brilliant balance, timing, remarkable speed of thought, and his deadly finishing. Pure natural born abiltity that couldnt be tamend. You will never see another goal like that again, Becouse most if not all players today would go down and take the penalty. But not best. C,ronaldo and messi are great players but not complete players. Best was the complete player. Thats why the 3 greatest i have ever seen are 1 best, 2 maradona, and third pele. Ok maradona wasnt a complete player but the joy that man gave me on a park was just amazing to watch. He won the world cup almost single handidly in 1986 and in the way he won it, he had good players around him but they wernt great players except 3 or 4, pele had 11 great players around him, plus they won it in 1962 with out pele. So really pele won two world cups not 3. And maradona came so close to winning 2, when a brilliant germany team beat them in 1990 in the final. That really hurted maradon to give that cup back as he knew if he had just had another 4 great players they would have beaten germany to make it two in a row. Maradona was the greatest player by miles in his era. He played in the italian leauge in the mid to late 1980s when it was the hardest leauge in the world and still won trophys with napoli even the uefa cup and a thinck they also won the leauge but i might be wrong. His left foot was like a magic wand at times. But he wasnt good in the air, he wasnt two footed, he wasnt as brave or hard as george best, he did cheat alot, where as best had to be shot dead to get him to go down. And cheating totally sickend best, he said if i had to cheat to win a game deep down i would know i didnt really win it even if thousands of fans didnt know it but i would and that would be enough for me. For a while i even stopped watching football becouse the cheating was that bad. Maradona did it against england in a bold way so really argentina didnt beat england 2-1 it was really 1-1. And its sad the game has went this way becouse it doesnt make it a game that we all want to watch and any sport is the same, i dont know how they can sleep at night knowing they had to cheat to win becouse there only kidding there selfs on and they know it!
