Reminds me of Jesus....only folk genuinly miss him...the rest are scared to touch themselves...heres an enlightener..Jesus masturbated...imagine Jesus banging one out...
Joe Pesci is an American actor who is known for portraying tough, volatile Gangster characters..lol He always plays a gangster even though hes 5ft...lol
The reason i havent mentioned his comedy movies is becsuse Carlin was referring to Pesci gangster movie roles and for someone that doesnt know who Pesci was as an iconic character she wouldnt get Carlins joke bout him being tough getting things done.
Being 5ft is actually helpful for him as an actor because it makes his Napoleon Complex more believable. I know a few guys around his height and they always seem to be just a little more aggressive than most people.
Clay .C. I do, all the time. But there are many different ways to interpret the Bible. However anyone with the most rudimentary understanding of the modern bible would agree that George’s interpretation in that instance was taken very out of context.
Kifwoo Bible wasn’t written by god, it was written by men. And what’s wrong with not delivering a clear message? Nothing really if you think about it. That’s not even a bad thing really. Also god isn’t homophobic or genocidal or anything like that. That’s just ridiculous.
@@joehalbop1928 it has nothing to do with intellect. If your elders have indoctrinated you from birth and there are rules saying not to question then you will do just that. Some of the greatest minds that ever lived have been duped by religion.
It’s funny when I was a kid like around 11 years old my grandma would take me to church any way we had a VHS of George and this bit hear and made me question the invisible man in the sky bull shit and I stopped being brainwashed at age 11. I’m fully into evolution and science I always hated when someone would be like oh my sister is in the hospital and I prayed for her to get better and she did. I’d be like bull shit the medication she got at the hospital made her better your prayers didn’t do shit
@@chaoscommentary2179 Exactly all the credit for that person's recovery should be split between the hospital staff from Doctors all the way down to the custodial staff that make the hospital run. And of course to that individuals body's ability to heal itself. No need to make wishes to some sort of sky genie that has never been proven to exist.
Well, he wasn't always an old guy, and is considered by many (including me), to be the greatest standup comedian of all time. He made you laugh and think at the same time. If you want to check out some earlier work of his, may I suggest, "the 7 dirty words"?
@@johncurtis7186 Really?? I seriously hope that is sarcasm!! 😂😂 He is a Scottish comedian, and the first comedian I really got into as a kid!! And he has been a favourite ever since!! If you really don't know him, I strongly recommend you look him up, especially stuff from the early years!! He is still around today, but suffers several serious health issues, and I fear he will be leaving us soon!!
@@FreeKentHovind There is no such thing as "Evolutionism". Evolution is a fact. Gene frequencies in a population vary over time. That is evolution. The Theory of Evolution by Natural Selection is the framework that explains the fact. Creationism has zero explanatory power.
George Carlin was a genius! Usually referred to as a comedic philosopher. There is a lot of his material that I highly recommend you check out. "List of People Who ought to be killed" is one of his more hilarious of his most recent stuff. And also check out his Airport and flying segments too.
Joe Pesci - Goodfellas, Casino, My Cousin Vinny, A Bronx Tale, Home Alone, Home Alone 2, Lethal Weapon 2, Lethal Weapon 3, Lethal Weapon 4, Michael Jackson's Moonwalker.
Thanks, Scribecash! I subbed because of this reaction. Like you, George (R.I.P) is intelligent, insightful, silly, and funny. He would be a "Mount Rushmore" comedian along with Richard Pryor, Robin Williams, and Eddie Murphy (in my opinion). "Euphemisms", "Soft Language/Political Correctness", "Things We Have in Common"... all great stuff. I "prophesize" that George is your key to 20,000 subs by year's end. Good luck!
Good one on the "Mount Rushmore" of comedians - they're definitely the top four! I'm just going to add "Death Penalty" as one of the best Carlin bits of all time - it never fails to make me LMAO!
George never cracks me up while watching him but for several weeks and in some case years I will see things happen and it reminds me of something George said. Then I will chuckle to myself like I was just given access to a little inside joke between me and George. So its not a hard laughter that you forget an hour after the show but its sarcasm and a point of view that will give you a periodic chuckle for the rest of your life.
George isn't about cheap laughs. He makes you think so you can exercise your mind and your laughing muscles. That's what I like about him. He's not a one trick pony.
I believe there is a floating dolphin in the sky that watches over all of us and created the universe. Since I believe this, I will never even consider the idea that I may be wrong. Prove to me that there is no flying dolphin in the sky that created the universe!!! I dare you!!!
I love how the "holy shit" punchline hit you 2 seconds late but you laughed anyway...that made me laugh. Your reactions are good. I will subscribe and hope that you continue to grow.
Far too many people are force-fed religion as children and then go about their lives placing these fairy tales in a special category where their content can no longer be questioned, and human society is the worse for it. Ideas which can not be questioned are not worth having. Carlin gives us much food for thought here if we're willing to honestly examine the shaky underpinnings of religious assumptions.
AHA! I just found your channel.....another reaction of your's to George showed up as 'recommended'. So I was trying to track down your 1st time seeing him. I was fortunate to see him 'live' a couple of times. I think his last HBO special was taped in my hometown of Santa Rosa, CA. I missed THAT one, but saw him on his two earlier visits.
Carlin was a legend. Here's a great bit of his from the 1970's to react to: 7 Dirty Words: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vbZhpf3sQxQ.html
@@nathan.brazil780 yeah, there are very few clips of him before then. Very rare. He had a partner at one point too, Jack Burns, who later went on to write for the muppet show and other Jim Henson stuff.
Joe peschi always plays gangsters, he also played the lawyer in the comedy, "my cousin vinnie." George Carlin was as a guru of logic, while pulling no puches. RIP Mr Carlin.
I just found this channel. I'm gonna explore your comedy reactions some more. I dont know if you've done it yet but do Tom Segura "Beyond Scared Straight." Make sure to find the video that shows the footage from the show along with the bit. Great reaction on this one. Your laugh is intoxicating. You seem like such a unique person.
Just keep in mind, that there is a huge difference between personal faith and organized religion. Edit: I see the edgelords finally decided to join us...
It's that Mr. Carlin had a handle both on life, and on the history of organized religion. It's great to see people still listening to him. We lost him far too soon. Joe Peschi, he's featured in a number of Mobster movies. Good Fellas being one of the more famous ones.
If you are going to learn Joe Pesci, you should probably start with Home Alone, My Cousin Vinny and the last three Lethal Weapon movies. If you jump right in at Casino and Goodfellas, you might get the wrong idea, lol. (Hint: in one of those he pops a guy's eye out by putting his head in a vice.) Nobody plays a vicious bad guy like Pesci, but he also is fantastic at humor. Truly great actor.
What's this? My personal Heros classic comedy bit that inspired me... And someone's reacting? GOD DAMN 🔥 excuse me while I collect my jaw. #SUB George is probably the most decorated comedian of all time. Him and Pryor are arguably the 2 comics most commonly considered as the best. 50 years 14 hbo shows 3 by times best sellers. 20 albums a mark Twain award and a supreme Court case still being fought for a half a century. I could pick from 20 or 30 hilarious bits But I'd love to see a reaction to either request of your choice. :) Doug Stanhope - Liberty Or Bill Hicks - War on drugs
I love George Carlin, hes one of the all time greats. Got introduced to him at a young age. Got his collection of books and digital collection. Your enthusiasm and enjoyment was great. I became a subscriber because you seem like a fun person :)
I was shocked to find out how polite, kind, caring and the opposite he really was in his private life than he was on stage or speaking on a microphone. This human man did have a heart and conscience. George Carlin (1937-2008) published this about modern times on March 12, 2004 shortly after the death of his wife: The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings and shorter tempers, wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness. We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, wake up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, pray too seldom. We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom and hate too often. We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life but not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbour. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things. We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less. These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are the days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one-night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window, and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose to share this insight, or to just hit delete. Remember, spend some time with loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever. Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up at you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side. Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent. Remember to say, "I love you" to your partner and loved ones, but most of all to mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you. Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment, for someday that person will not be there again. Give time to love, give time to speak, and give time to share precious thoughts in your mind. Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
I have read several of the comments below, and I can say that I agree that he was a genius. One of a kind, never to be duplicated. Many ape his style of making points while being hilarious, but none ever quite get there, with Bill Burr and Louis C. K. coming to mind. And I love those guys' work. Funny as hell. But ,they ain't Carlin. It's not their fault. There will never BE another Carlin. I recently spent over $100 on his complete collection on DVD . A bargain at $200, in my opinion. When I'm down, boom a Carlin disc goes into the player and I get an entire show. Cheers me right up. I could probably find all of it on RU-vid, but you can't loan people without good internet a RU-vid video, and my internet is not great either. Hell, I'd have given them $300. Don't tell them though! :-)
You’ll probably know joe Pesci from home alone as one of the thief’s. He’s also in movies like casino, goodfellas, great mob movies. And shit like my cousin vinny, and lethal weapon series.
You have GOT to react to George Carlin - *Driving* from 1988. A skit that every decent driver can relate to lol I think you'd get a kick out of that one :-D
Yeah but... Don't forget about Goodfellas, Raging Bull and Casino. lol I may be from the 1st Home Alone generation, but I grew up on Gangster/mob movies... Considering, that's half my families history... xD
Just a bit of context here but there is a bigger time distance from home alone to now, than there is from the moon landing to home alone hahahahaha not that I wish you to feel old or anything😳😳😳😳
The great thing about these reaction videos is that you can always see the point in which people start having a change of heart and they dont wanna face the fact that they may have to accept something that they dont want to..Hence 6:46
I know you said you don't agree with what he said here (and tbh, I was watching your facial expressions change throughout lol so I could tell when you couldn't help but smile or laugh out loud and when your smile was waning and your brows start furrowing haha) but I've still gotta give you props for taking it all in stride and giving us an honest reaction anyway :) *George Carlin has another hilarious stand up routine that's religiously themed about shortening the list of 10 Commandments down to a more manageable size, you might want to consider doing a reaction to that video too* (Can't remember the exact title, just google/YT search for "George Carlin 10 commandments" and it should come up). Aside from that, all of the others I've seen people mentioning in the comments _(7 dirty words, Our similarities / The things we have in common, Save the planet, Death Penalty, etc)_ are all classics and solid recommendations you should check out if you end up liking Carlin's content.
I love your reaction to this. I know that Christianity is a huge part of black culture, but that shouldn't be the case. I'm Greek and had Xtianity pushed on me, but I remembered why that is. You are better than musket brain-washing.
Nothing really out of context. Religious people cherry pick what about there book they will and won’t follow. Most religious people have never read there “holy text” even once. Which means people just go off of hearsay and that’s not reliable.
great reaction george is the best i recomend a guy called ken nordine he was the master word jazz you'll loveit ! i would try the vid 'you're getting better"
Avery thing he makes fun of about God is true I believe there is a God but he's not the God people want to believe exist based on the Bible .Because 12 men based on what we heard about wrote the dam book. So even if there was a man called Jesus there is no evidence that he was God. I once believed until I woke up and I'm glad that today millions are realizing there is no loving God and there is no life after death. How ever there is a creator the universe just did not happen by chance.
The God illusion, cover the most difficult life questions with wonderful and hard to shake off lies, and a few people profits from this, and make sure you don't question it
