I'm from (and still live in) New Orleans. I managed to get out to Houston with my sister's family, and it was horrible to see all the looting...but I totally understand that people needed to EAT and SURVIVE.

But it's gotten even worse now because there's a large portion of the country that just chooses not to live in objective reality. This was During the Bush jr presidency after hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans area. I still remember an awards show when Mike Myers and Kanye West were giving an award together, and Kanye say George Bush doesnt care about black people. Mike was so taken back and looked like deer in headlights not know how to react.. lol
