Walked to HBlvd often to see matinees including yours. Then to Musso and Franks. Late afternoon bar scene was so fun.

I’ll bet he’s one of the coolest dudes on the planet. No ego. No pretentiousness, just a really warm, smart, funny guy. He reminds me of a couple of guys I’ve known in my life. I’ve never had that kind of charisma, that kind of “cool” (whatever that is really), that draws people to you because it makes them feel important, safe, and worthy. They don’t make enough of these guys. How much better off our country/world would be if we let guys like this run the show instead of the egomaniacal, self-interested, closet tyrants running it now? George Clooney recognizes two essential truths: money is not wisdom, and wealth does not make the man. Two things our little-minded politicos fail miserably to recognize. This guy has his heart and mind in the right places.

I grew up playing my mom’s 78’s on the record player (With a real needle though not a hypodermic needle) And Rosemary Clooney’s voice was like having melted butter Poured over your skin (In a fantasy, of course, The reality of pouring melted butter on your skin is problematic With regard to temperature and texture. . . But somehow it sounds like it should feel sensuous.) George pretty much had to make it on his own. . .
