Batman and Robin was a terrible movie but that doesn’t mean the people involved were terrible, I’m glad they can all still look back and laugh about that train wreck
@@nicholashernandez4611...Joel wasn't into chicks. Great director tho. His Bat films were culmination of bad decisions turning out way too successful. He had a few more near greats when back to his style.
Even though it WASN'T on the Actors!!.. Gotta give him due's for THAT!.. It was the writers, the directors, producers etc.. NOT the Actors!.. deffo a bad career choice tho eh!? hahaha
Well Batman and Robin was the worst one made but they got one thing right, Out of all the actors who ever played Batman George Clooney looks almost exactly like the way the draw Bruce Wayne in the comics, if he had a better script and a serious director , he could have been the best Batman movie, but no someone wanted to do a clown act, falling from a mile up doing air surfing ( impossible) and sorry but the guy they picked for Robin cant act to save his life he was a bad choice then and bad for NCIS LA.
@@lightoniaso I also had it on vhs, and also loves rewatching it as a kid, I don't know, I feel like the noatalgia factor would let me enjoy it just as much 😅
I loved it as a kid and it still makes me happy to this day. The puns never get old for me 😂 and also between Robin and Poison Ivy, I figured out I'm bi 😂
I also watched it as a kid and enjoyed it. I thought it was campy. If anything, I thought George Clooney was pretty good. I took issue with other things and actors.
I was an extra in oceans eleven (just a small scene) and I met George and Brad, shook their hands. George said what's ur name and I said Sarah and he said hi Sarah I'm George 😂 He was more handsome IRL than Brad was, believe it or not. Not what I had expected.
I might be wrong but I think it was deliberately paying homage to The 60s Batman (series) because it was very similar to how Burt Ward would respond to Batman played by Adam West 🤔
So good to see an actor that listens to the audience, admits faults, and even sincerely apologizes. Instead of calling the audience racist, sexist, or to go f themselves
I almost never blame the actors. They are just the hired help. I always blame the Writers, Directors, and ESPECIALLY the Producers. Everyone else was just following orders.
I actually liked Clooney as Batman. I think he added a great humanity to Bruce Wayne; especially in the scenes, where he was interacting with a dying and sick Alfred.
@albino5995 The Batman Card. LoL. Like who da fuq came up with that? Is he making the payments as Batman? Does Batman have his own SSN? Where do they send the statements? LoL
Gunn, who is known for his openness with fans on Twitter, poured cold water on the idea of a Clooney return when it circulated as rumour back in February. “Absolutely not,” Gunn responded when asked if Clooney would be cast as “the new main DCU Batman”.
Well seeing as how we didn't get another live action Batman movie for 8 years I can see why he thought that. Remember there was supposed to be another Joel Schumacher Batman movie after Batman and Robin, but because it was received so poorly, it was cancelled.
I remember loving the movie as a kid. I would watch that VHS all the time. As an adult I can see it's flaws, but in general I don't consider it a bad watch.
I actually love that they brought him back as batman in the new Flash movie. While I hated the Kilmer/Clooney era, bringing Clooney back gave me strong nostalgia 😅
@@marcoskolioulis3522 Clooney is there at the end after The Flash supposedly "fixed" the timeline. It was supposed to be Ben Affleck's Batman trapped in some kind of multiverse limbo, sending a video message asking The Flash to save him & other characters who got stuck there. But WB told the writters to change it like a month before post-production because producers at WB don't know what they were doing. Completely clueless. That's why The Flash is a jumbled mess.
While you're not wrong, I'll invite you to re-/watch Tim Burton's two movies with fresh eyes, remembering that ex.: Catwoman's whip scene in the mall was performed in one take.
As a child i love Batman and Robin because it had superheroes and explosions. As an adult i love it for nonstop ice puns for 90 minutes. Can you be cold Batman?!
I loved the movie. Uma, Chris, Arnold, Alicia did great work. It was a different thing than what we are used to now, but it was great. Arnold was particularly great.
i love batman and robin. its a chill and comedic take on the characters. everyone wants batman to be a depressed serious guy all the time. Its nice to have at least one live action that breaks the mold.
Thankfully I was a kid so I still enjoyed it. Since the titles are somewhat samey, I’ve described it as “the neon one.” Michelle Pfeifer’s Catwoman ? Iconic. Danny Devito as the Penguin? Love! I’ve definitely got a lil Oswald Cobblepot like DNA so probably has been my spirit animal since ‘92.
dude a lot of us growing up this movie was a staple. George never apologize to me for that movie. Arnold getting done dirty with all the ice puns, made me develop a love for humor. We probably wouldn't have the level of dad jokes these days.
It's so sad to hear something like this, because those "bad movies " made my childhood. This Batman me and my brother watched so many times, that we destroyed the tape 😅
