Doesn't Trump need to have GROUNDS to appeal the verdict? He just automatically appeals this and that, just to delay his sentence, which is just WRONG. He should serve pending appeal, and get credit for time served. George, please explain.

The judge's combined conflict of intetest and obvious bias are grounds enough to issue an appeal. And there's boatloads of additional malfeasance that can't be ignored.

In January, 1933, he gave an amazing speech about how they all needed to work together to fix Germany (an economic crisis where it took a wheelbarrow of money to buy groceries because of inflation, everyone out of work). All lies, but it convinced people who thought he was a thug that maybe they should give him a chance. They regretted it.

Technically, his business already had 17 felony convictions as well. His charity was shuttered. The University that he was affiliated with had a settlement against it. A casino accepted an illegal loan from his father. He and his father were found to have discriminated against African American renters, but for some reason, none of this has mattered to anyone. It should, but it didn't.

If you follow the youtube videos of Luke Beasley, he reported on an article in Salon where a former producer on "The Apprentice" speaks out as his 20-year Non-Disclosure Agreement expired this year. I didn't watch the full video or read the Salon article yet, but the overall point of it is that "The Apprentice" took a washed up big mouth con man (as New Yorkers knew him as being) and transformed him into a successful character who happened to be named Donald J Trump. It transformed his image, but reality and the reality star image were not the same. It's not particularly revealing to me because I never saw him as anything but an absurd caricature like Thurston Howell III, but we're paying the price now for this awful man's stumbling through life.

I wonder what he would have done if all the names of the jurors were made known during the trial. I heard that none of the jurors looked at trump when they walked out..not one of them glanced at him. Not really. In New York, these are class E felonies with a max of 4 years. Given that this is his first conviction, it's more likely to result in probation/financial penalties. At least the creep, now a convicted felon, will not be allowed to vote since he's a Florida resident. The system worked; he was convicted.

No, it is very common for a defendent in a white collar crime to go home and return for a sentencing date. In fact, he is actually being sentenced more quickly than many. 90 days is often a typical time frame.
