I only came a cross celtic thunder about 3 years a go in here when Christmas 1915 came on, and I fell in love with them,was so sad to read that George had died,what a wonderful guy, there ny favourite
George had the most incredible voice. His voice flowed like a beautiful wine. His smile lit up the stage and also made you feel special. I've just realized that Goerge and I both shared our birthday. My 66th is in 2 days here in New Zealand on this day I will remember the big man from Celtic Thunder. R.I.P. George.
My first time hearing George was in If Birds Had Wings with 14 yr. Old Damian McGinty. I love this song and still listen to it. After hearing that song, I researched to find Celtic Thunder, and the rest is history. Then soon after, I learned George passed away. I was devastated. I love his voice, the twinkle in his eye, his sense of humor, and the care he had for the other singers. RIP George, you are sorely missed. Much love….

After 6 years I miss his voice as part of Celtic Thunder so much. His voice was distinctly his own along with his humor. Pleased to see his daughter performing with her violin. George would be so proud.

I have commented before, but every time I hear this I am reminded what a fine man George Donaldson was in this life. He exemplified what a man should be. l know that's why God wanted him nearer to Him than being on this earth would allow.

I will never forget him. When he enter to the stage, he always had a big smile. Very night I had to listening he sings before I go to sleep. I will continue listen to his songs until the day I no longer on this earth.

Cannot believe he's gone. I loved this man, his voice, his joyful personality and his awesome performances. As the saying goes,, God takes the best and the young first, but I don't understand God's reasonings, as he took my husband at 40 years old from me. I believe God has a reason and I know we will all understand one day when we are with our love one's one day. My love, prayers and thoughts are with his wonderful wife and precious daughter. I pray God gives you peace. I will miss you George. Rest in Peace and sing for God. Love you.
Upon hearing the tragic news of our beloved George, I've held it together until hearing/seeing this. It truly says it all! You've embarked on a new voyage, my friend. Becky just saw this video for the first time tonight. Just a wonderful tribute to George. Had been doing ok the last few weeks then saw this and the water works started all over again.

i shall miss him so much he sang so beautiful and i wanted to go see him this year in Seattle WA but now he will not be there . I am so sad i never got too meet him God keep you wrapped in his arms my friend we will be with you some day.
@richard pleat God doesn't always take the Best first...he does leave his devoted and righteous ones on Earth to help those "poor souls that have lost their way" AND FALLEN INTO SINFUL WAYS....that is made very clear in the Bible when he did destroyed the many wicked people and their cities. Someday, we will all (hopefully) know more about his Eternal plans for His children/mankind. Peace and love.
