Today is the 97th Anniversary of George Gershwin's performance of "Rhapsody In Blue" This was held at bandleader Paul Whiteman ’s “An Experiment in Modern Music” concert at New York ’s Aeolian Concert Hall. Leonard Bernstein also conducted the New York Philharmonic and played piano in a performance of George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue at the Royal Albert Hall in 1976.
