Hard to say from just a couple of interviews, but it seems that the Iceman always conducts himself with class and dignity. His finger roll along with Jabbar's sky hook were the two greatest shots in modern NBA history.

Iceman was a bad dude... Really, really good and one of the best in his era. Jordan was a great player, but as he ascended to the level of one of the greatest players to play the game, he was not a very good team mate in terms of likeability. He was over the top in arrogance, confidence and had a cockiness few could tolerate. I wouldn't doubt a thing most players that played with him say. Many have validated just how tough of a team mate he was to get along with, practice with and play with. I tend to take their recollections at heart. True story here and I'll try to keep it short... I actually met him before he exploded into Rare Air Jordan (born and grow up on Chicago's North Side in the Suburbs near where Jordan was living) and he was not that kind of guy during his first few years in Chicago. Confident, mildly cocky but not over the top and a nice considerate guy. True story... My younger Brother owed a pretty good business in those days in Highland Park il. ( upscale middle to upper class community with a large Jewish presence) and did work for him in the early to mid 80s (detailed his cars) and I met him one day when my brother was returning one of his cars (Red Ferrari Testarosa with "Air 1" Illinois plates). I was just coming back from 3 years living and working in Germany via U.S.Army. Being very good in basketball, while there I played Military Basketball for the European Command representing my Community in Northern Germany- referred to as Nord Deutschland (and the city of Bremerhaven Germany), and also in the German Euro League for a team owned by Nike and had all of Nikes latest stuff, all apparel and their latest hottest shoes, including the Air Jordan line of shoes. Our team had an exclusive, specially made only for the team, version of Jordan's 1st Generation Red & Black Air Jordans, and they were made in Blue & White ( instead of Black n White) to match our Team Colors and Uniforms. That's another story... Awesome experience though! So when my brother said he knew Jordan and worked for him... and of coarse I didn't believe him... I met him at his shop, which was really nice, best detail shop I'd ever saw... and still to this day best I ever saw. He took me to Jordan's home in Highland Park Il. in the Red Farrari he and his guys in the shop had just finished. Nice semi large home in a very nice neighborhood but not extravagant or exceptional. Jordan was big already but he wasn't mega stratosphere big yet, and the Bulls hadn't won a thing yet, so he was still very much down to earth and he was single as well at the time. He was picky however in who he associated with. He seemed to be more of a home body type. He was always in close contact with his agent, another lawyer and his mom. It seems to me in memory that he said his mother would come and visit from time to time as did his siblings and he had a full-time assistant but he mostly lived alone. Jordan was really a nice guy in my recollection. My younger brother was more of the aggressive type so I did wonder how the heck did he land Jordan's business... it was through other business he had, which were a lot of lawyers, some Bankers, Doctors and other Sports Pros ( Refrigerator Perry of the Bears would be another I later met). Jordan was far more reserved and more like a cool country dude to me at the time. He gave us some tickets to the annual Chicago Pro Benefit basketball game played each summer in Chicago that raises millions of dollars for some important charities helping low income disadvantage people around Chicagoland. Also gave us tickets to the party hosting the Pros that Friday night. Hottest ticket in town each summer. It was a blast too. The Baby Brother dan along too and we had a few tickets to give to close friends from our neighborhood in the city of North Chicago. Wet more NBA Pros that night at the party. In fact, we felt like we were "Big Willie" and was getting lots of attention from the ladies at the party, until that is, the Pros started showing up. Then we were nobody's. Bit it still ended up lots of fun and a great experience. Gotta say, Jordan would become a different person not long after that and it's only natural considering the mega superstar, repeat Champion, and extremely wealthy guy he'd become. But I can say, when I met him. He was like a regular guy, pretty grounded, considerate and a nice one that was on the road to becoming a megastar and win multiple championships. And no one knew at the time, that he would ultimately end up in every conversation with other greats of "who is the goat" in the NBAs history? No one? 😁👍

Jordon was just the new generation. After Bird and Magic and Kareem retired, the NBA needed a new face, and Jordon was there with Nike behind him. Suddenly a fun scorer who couldn't win a playoff series became something more. the NBA used to hold guys like Kareem back, but they learned that promoting the star worked better. So the rules became more lenient to help Jordon.

The NBA was fresh off its lowest ratings in the 1990 finals. First finals with no Lakers or Celtics and Detroit introduced a boring, grind it out, style of game. NBC got the contract for the 1990-91 season and you can bet they had say in ensuring a different style of ball would be played and highlight it’s biggest star.

This was a good team that we never got to see develop and build chemistry. MJ, Orlando, older Gervin and a rookie Oakley. That's all I was saying. Only Oakley remained the following year.

@@geraldcordova9520 well to be fair he broke his foot & returned the last 18 games & they still made postseason on minutes restrictions. Overall, those Bulls just weren't very good so although I know they would've been better with Jordan for a full season, there's no guarantee they would've been a top 4 team in the East.
