...I don't know why, but watching these events fills my heart with so much emotion, almost brings me to tears...and I'm just this old white dude; peace and happy blessings to all America's proud indigenous people.
You should try attend a powwow sometime! You’re always welcome. Great experience being there in person. I also want to thank you for your comment. You’re a great man.
@@R1S3W1THTH3F4LL3N ...ty for the thoughtful suggestion, I've had an opportunity to visit the Pechanga Pow Wow event in SoCal some years ago, it was wonderful!
Omg the woman with the white dress and gold jingles, I just found her on Instagram recently this year and her foot work is so flawless to me I already look up to her. To see her noticed on somebody else's channel, the confidence she displays makes me so proud. She looks like ice and performs like snow. I hope she can let her guard down and become a humble leader who can teach little girls someday. She has so much potential.
I used to dance when i was younger!!! Would always have the best time. Unfortunately my mom had to pick up 3 jobs and we never had the time anymore:( I've been thinking of trying to relearn it all again...
I will be taking a jingle dress class I am 42 was not raised in my culture but I have now received my spirit name first in my maternal and paternal side to do so and I WILL learn and do this and I WILL regain my tongue. I am Mi’Kmaw of The Mi’Kmaq Tribe Bear Clan A’ho

Mandate has the beautiful jungle dress song, with the women dancers in a jingle contest, there isn't a Saturday night to go unnoticed. Exhilarating energy!
I grew up loving the Native American peoples, even though I didn't know any. Every arm/leg movement, fan movement and foot placement means something. The extraordinary meaningfulness of each dance of each family/tribe of Peoples!
I love it , I wish my mom would have showed me this Stead of me finding out that I was half Cherokee when she died .my family turned their back on me when she died now I don’t know nothing about my family .
if you're truly half Cherokee then no one has the right to withhold your birthright to your tribe. Look further into that side of the family - find a friend/family member who knows your name, your mother's birth connections & go from there. Hold firm in the belief that no blood quantum nor family feud can determine your tribal worth & birthright. If your soul sings with the music & you feel at home - let no one shame you into feeling less than what your spirit is. The tribe is a collective, you'll find acceptance in it once you accept that side of you. kia kaha, stand strong. 😉

Many ppl we do not know how their heritage, is is Hebraic rooted. Automotive industry has a car called Firebird, from Chief Pontiac, we commended and have as ICON of its strength and virtues..
It is so nice to have the PowWows back. I live over by several Native American tribes in New Mexico and have really missed not having the PowWows. I wish the people who film/post the videos would film all the way to the winner being announced, so that the viewers could see who won. Love and peace to all.
Hello Janice... it's in the plan... one camera for the wide angle of the dance circle, the other for close ups and panning... hoping to have a picture in picture video concept for 2021-2022 powwow season... thanks for the comment, and keep safe eh... :-)
If I’m a judge at a pow wow I’d be looking for moves something catches my eye if you’re there to compete bring some moves but I respect ✊ everyone doesn’t matter if you win or lose just enjoy the pow wow has to offer
Frist time every watch Dancing like this. I though it was Awesome. I could never even dance like that. So very cool to watch . Thank you for posting. I Subscribe and like the video. TY
because the numbers, and because they do not focus on all ... and I like that they keep their traditions and culture burning like an eternal flame, which they tried to extinguish, but the spirit of strength and courage ... did not die out. . even the white lives in fear .. greetings from Mexico
Helllo Marcus... thank you for the visit and the comment... I wish Papua NG all the best with your battle against the Covid-19... keep the distance... :-)

Hello TheOnly... glad you enjoyed the video... there a two types of powwow, Traditional and Competition... many dancers attend both, time permitting... Jingle in ceremony and Jingle in powwow are different based on ceremony host protocols...
