George Guidall: “As an audiobook narrator, I am an actor” 

Agreed - Guidall is a super star among book narrators...the best I've heard. I listen to RU-vid books at night, so I "share my bed" with him many nights every month.

I discovered Mr. Guidall (pronounced "gwi-dell" with the stress on the last syllable) as the narrator of Lilian Jackson Browne's "Cat Who" series. So I sought out to Audible (back then I had a low-end Windows PC with limited HDD space) and started collecting. And, 15 years later, here I am, listening to Mr. Guidall tell us what he does and how he does it.

This mans voice is as familiar to me as my parents. No other narrator has been able to tell a story as well as Guidall.

What a great narrator! My favorite, hands down.

Discovered him from Craig Johnson’s “Longmire” series of which I believe he narrates most of them. You will laugh, Craig’s funny, but George brings the laughter up from the belly. He’s great!

I've just listened to "The Cat Who..." series narrated by George Guidall. He is amazing! Now I want to look for other books he's read for audiobooks!!!

Old... but current (and I don't mean "old" in a rude way)

Guidall is over rated. He has the annoying habit of lowering his vocal intonation at the ends of phrases so that it's often impossible to make out the final syllables. Also, he has a problem with French place names. Rather than try to pronounce them clearly, he mutters in a way that makes them incomprehensible.
