They sent a man to the moon...in 1968 ! The rich NFL can figure out how to put "good" real grass in every stadium in the NFL including dome stadiums ....do it !

I think it was Bears wide receiver Dennis McKinnon who blew out both knees on a play at Philadelphia. Turf should have been banned a long time ago.

The owners say turf is cheaper but they make millions if not billions why would they not want to protect the players they have the money for it!

Hey guys! Can you try calling synthetic turf what it is- please? It is actually plastic carpeting so calling it that or plastic grass or even synturf will help.The word "turf" used to mean grass but was co-opted by the industry! You don't have to follow.

I think it was because the first non grass was called Astroturf. Unfortunately there's no going back, bud. Turf = artificial surface.

That's bullshit. How many championship games have been marred because they were played on turf and a star player got hurt? Take the 2021 national championship for instance.

I never want to see a player hurt but I will say as a fan part of the interest of watching sports is the players overcoming the challenges of adversity. This league has become rather soft and wants everything catered to them. This is a brutal sport in which you have chosen as a career and make millions of dollars. The viewer wants to see you kick the shit out of each other.

I agree with diminished contact being an issue with football, but this is a conversation about surfaces. Which leads to non contact injuries.
