It definitely still hurts and it’s frustrating to constantly come this close and fall short time after time but I will say that I consider myself so lucky to be a fan of this team. The Lynch and Shanahan era has made 49er football exciting again. Obviously the main goal is to win a Super Bowl but it does make me happy to know we have a shot every year under Shanahan.

@@hughjanus2781 Kelce isn't nearly as good of a blocker but Kittle is right up there with Kelce in terms of pass catching ability. Kelce also benefits from having Mahomes tossing him the rock.

I wanted to see Kittle in the Super bowl so damn bad. He is so explosive. He only got stronger after a great time at Iowa. You hate to see players leave, but if they go to the NFL and play like Kittle, it makes you proud.

Fun fact. Every team that played the 49er's in 22 lost the following week. The one exception was KC Chiefs had a bye the following week. Whether we won the game or lost the game. The next week, that team was still hurting.
