I disagree. George - who happens to be the funniest comedian alive today is equally as funny on stage doing stand up. Few comedians actually master both. George has done it.
3:50 Ray: Angie, would you please talk to her for me? George: She’s not going to do anything because sabes que, she’s under the other wing. Angie: I’ll go talk to her. George: Angie, where you going? Hey! Get back under my wing!
Angie questioned why Claudia left only George as Verionca's trustee, not her. This episode is the reason why. Ray scammed George only once but that was all he needed to know what sleazeball he was. He was the only one who believed Ray didn't change and saw through his bullshit. He was only after Verionca's money. Angie gave him the benefit of the doubt, never really questioning anything. If you think about it, you would think Angie would be the one to see through his lies. She grew up with him, she saw him on a personal level on how much of a scam artist he was. Yet she still trusted him. If Claudia put Angie as trustee, Ray would have easily left with Verionca's money without breaking a sweat due to how much of a pushover she is. George isn't a pushover, he saw through his lies, which is why he wrote a fake check and was waiting to catch in the act.
You said it, Angie is the biggest pushover, and I doubt she ever actually noticed his scheming way since she was busy being a spoiled princess growing up, while it's good she trys to see the good in people that same way is what woulda made Ray take All of Veronica's money and without breaking a single sweat. Carmen is the brat she is because of Angie.
Angie probably didn't wanna see through the illusion. Because she grew up with him as a brother, she wanted to think he had changed. George had no reason to delude himself.
Well to be fair he is Angie Brother and Vic Son I mean who wants to think there Brother or Son is like that . So of Course they were Blind to what Ray is . I mean if that was your brother is that the way you would want to think of him. Plus How many times Has Benny Suckered George in . How many times has George Stuck his Hand out to Benny only to get it Cut off . You know why he did that the same reason Angie and Vic Fall for Ray Scam . Because he's family
I know not to judge a book by its cover, but this guy doesn’t even look remotely trustworthy. From his demeanor to his grooming, he’s a total sleaze-ball. I’ve got an uncle like this in my family. He’s an awful person, and he’ll never change. By the end of this episode they all find out the truth about Ray.
@@irvinmorales1409 It kinds of show you book smart and street smart are two different things. If Angie was Verionca's trustee, Ray would have left town with the check with no trouble at all. Angie not question him despite knowing his past. In the past, it was hinted not only she was popular back in the day but also very smart in school. While Vic came to the U.S. with nothing and became a doctor. George wasn't smart in school and barely past high school but he is street smart and people smart.
George Lopez commented on this himself. He ended it with "TV just got a whole lot whiter!" While that may not have been a fair thing to say, you can only imagine his hurt. But yeah, you remember the Geico cavemen commercials? Did you know they made a show about it? Well, if you didn't know, now you do. Apparently, something that was only funny in short bursts, like, say, the length of a commercial, deserved a full fledged show. They gave it George Lopez's slot. Wether that show was the reason George Lopez was cancelled or not, it's still bullshit.
We all got an uncle like that I mean I got to know him but 6 times out of 10 he is the bad guy. I heard the stories and I can even see it in his eyes and hear it in his voice I see and hear a lot of Bullshit out of him
Reminds me of Hoit from KOTH. Wish we could see a crossover. It'd be fun to see their personalities clash until they come to see how much they have in common. Hank would think George is too silly, and George would think Hank is stuffy.
Vic is to blame for the way Ray is. Ray was very spoiled as a child, his dad always gave him everything he wanted and never punished him when/if he misbehaved or broke a rule. Vic said "looks like my son Ray, but where's the trail of slime?", Ray didn't do that to himself. He just shows up after five years right after his daughter inherited $2,000,000?, cut the crap. He doesn't give a damn about Veronica, he looks at her and sees $$$$.
Yeah and Vic admitted that that he spoiled his Children in one Episode particularly Angie. But you also have to realize you can't keep using that Tired - Ass Excuse in Life . At some point you have to take responsibility for the Man or Woman you Become in Life .
