As someone who worked on parts of this project, I think the idea it'll open in 2025 is quite hopeful. Sure, covid had was a major setback, but there's been so many other areas that have/had delays that the opening has been consistently delayed further and further. Perhaps sections of the building would be open and ready by then, but I doubt the full building and site would be ready at all.
I'm all about this but my counter argument is this. Imagine making an art museum that is massive decadent and mesmerizing without making people feel alienated and out of place. If I want to ride a space ship I go to an amusement park. My counter argument if not seen thus far is this, art museum should be open to the community and modular to shape its history. All I see is a billion dollar building that displays art.
