This is great, man. Hearing it at this speed shows even more what a freak GL is. Some of those runs make no sense and the fact that he rips them at the speed he does with feel and dynamics... as a great scholar once said, "GOD DAMN!"
Thanks! I am 100% with you: he had such a great voice on the instrument. Such lyrical quality, blues influence and just enough obnoxious 80s technical swagger to be uniquely compelling. It saddens me to hear him describe himself these days as a “redeemed 80s shredder “
Yea……….”let’s turn the distortion off and use no effects and sound like I’m playing through a practice amp, oh, and no fast runs!” If he would return to his old ways I would actually buy his albums again. That’s what people want to hear.
All the tabs versions have a shit ton of tapping for this,I don’t know what to do I can’t find a way to learn it without my nerves bust what the hell is the correct vway
@@zikkicharade hey there, Z! I’ll bet my bottom dollar that there is absolutely no tapping anywhere in this song. I’ve listened to this “forensically” for decades, transcribed it myself and performed it on camera at speed. Thanks for watching and engaging! HTH, G
@@guitaraddiction4life The last legato flurry drove me NUTS - trying to re-internalize it to get it right. Its been a while since I last really pressed myself into that particular mold. Overall worth the effort, though.
Thanks! It’s a Hughes & Kettner Grandmeïster 36. Lead channel. Gain nearly pegged, mids just below half, bass over halfway up, presence and highs emphasized. I run the Tung-Sol tube set in it as well. Adds brightness/cut/aggression.
Heya Stephen! It is the ESP production Japanese signature model from the late 90s. Although these bear a decal on the back of the headstock that reads “ESP Custom Guitars” (or something similar), these are not custom shop, per se. It definitely weighs a ton! The neck feels fantastic and, unlike many, I love the aggressive brightness of the maple body combined with the Screamin’ Demon. Of course, the finish is mesmerizing. Thanks for watching! G 😎👍🏻🎸🤘🏻
Hey there! This video was meant to be instructional. I did the full-go some time ago: George Lynch's "Heaven Sent" solo (Definitive Version - with accomp) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5h9E8ClLmbQ.html Thanks for watching, 👍🏻🎸 G
Thanks, Jean-Marc I actually did the full speed post a number of years ago: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5h9E8ClLmbQ.html I’ve been asked many times over the years to post a walkthrough. Decided it was high time to share one. Take care! G
