George lynch was one of the best all around players in the 80s. His riffs & rhythms were so melodic yet powerful and dirty it was always a joy to listen to him. I loved the way he flowed from rhythm to lick to lead and back. I wish he would write songs like he used to.
Notice Lynch doesn't let go of that guitar haha. You know they gave it to him, and that makes me.....really jealous. Great guitars and a Great Musician.

I'd say he is the only shredder I ever liked. He shreds with purpose - or when it serves it's purpose. Love his style. Very recognizable, Where Steve Stevens has probably one of the, if not the most precise picking technique of all famous guitar players, George's string attack always seems to come a split second late but never out of rhythm. It might be due to combo of his picking technique and the sound he generates on his guitars. It gives his playing very unique timing and sound when put together with the rest of the band (any band he plays or has played). A very well rounded man and musician with passion to be matched
My LTD EC-1000 came with action that was so ow and buzz free I still can't believe it. You can barely see the strings move to the fret but clear with no fret buzz. Excellent guitar and it's the entry level line... Great to see them get set up.
My parents made a deal with me back in may and they said if I learn to play guitar good enough they would buy me a Kami-Kazi guitar. In 2 months i was able to play good enough then I annoyed my parents to the point they got me the guitar
That same Kami-Kaze set of Kanji was on Dez's headband and I asked him the same thing~ he said "Air God", but most WWII historians translated it "Divine Wind" -reminds me of the early 80's footage of George playing "Air Guitar" with a Kramer Softcase (and bending the headstock for the 'Dive')!
I remember that video. It was Jeff and George in a hotel room being silly jokin around makin a commercial with Jeff doing commentary. Deep knee bends and heavy metal faces. Lol.
they ALL are nowadays.comes with age and the realization that theres bucketloads of stratospherically talented young pickers of all ages nipping at their heels

Mine is also a viper esp🎸. I fell in love with it the very first time I played it and so I bought and I’ve had it for eleven years. A $675.00 guitar I bought brand new for &200.00 and I was just not about to pass that up 🎸🎸🎸
I'm sure the guy's setup is excellent but while shipping around the world climates and humidity have a huge role in the way a guitar plays. I had a EVH shipped to me and when it got here it was perfect but over time I had to make adjustments and even knock sharp fret edges off (the neck wood had lost moisture and shrunk).
Wish I had jumped on a high end ESP when they were in the 2 K range vs the 4 K range now. Inflation is screwing everything up now I get it, but double the price overnight was ridiculous.

Mr. Lynch, I was a fan of yours until I seen this video. That snide comment you made concerning Capitalism and labor that turned me off big time. I had been listening to your music since I first heard you playing with dokken back in 82 or 83. I served 20 years in the U.S. military. Your guitar playing provided an escape from some shitty times in my military career and I thank you for that. You are very talented guitar player, top shelf in my prior opinion but that's over. I can NOT stand with the demoncRAT/leftist/socialist so this is why I come to a parting of the ways. I gathered up all my dokken and lynch mob cd's and snapped them in half and put them in the recycle toter. I've gotten rid of many movie dvds and music cds out of my collections where political comments have been made by actors & musicians. Even a fool, when he holds his peace, is counted wise: and he that shuts his lips is esteemed a man of understanding. I just don't understand why actors/musicians/etc. won't keep their mouths shut when it comes to politics. Knowing by voicing their political opinions they will alienate 1/2 of their fan base as you have done me. Why kill the goose that lays golden eggs with political views but that is your right to do so as it is the right of all Americans (which I feel is about to change drastically if the demoncRATS get complete control of the government). If I was in the entertainment field I would simply say my political views are my own and let it go at that. socialism would've never allowed you to become a millionaire but Capitalism did. When it comes to price, ESP is the Gibson of hard rock guitars. Insane prices. The LTD Kamikaze is has been discontinued for several years. Makes no sense to me. They sell.
Has anyone played or owned any of the high end ESPs? How does ESP compete with Guitars in the same price range? Does anyone have an opinion on the ESP Kirk Hammett model(s).?
well this might help it might not but i own an ltd 7 string which is pretty good sounding and from what i have tried at the store they have a better crunch than most brands like i take one off the rack and play it and then put it back and pick up like a fender or something it doesn't sound as heavy and i have tried a kirk hammett model with the caution sticker and it sounds really good as well now either this helps or it doesn't but i personally prefer esp and ltd over all other brands just because of the sound and price
All ESP guitars are made at the fujigen plant. Fugigen is one of the best guitar builders on the planet for mass produced guitars. Like Ibanez, ESP has never actually built anything. Hoshino is another high end mass guitar builder out of japan.
I think if you haven't bought one yet you will find that the LTD is almost the same as the ESP for a fraction of the cost. LTD also has more options in colors and pickups. I have a Ltd and love it. Can't beat the quality of these guitars.
I've played I think 3 ESPs and they were absolutely amazing. But in my opinion, The high end LTDs sounded a little bit better. Now that could just be because of the particular models I compared and the rig I played through at the guitar shop but they all played great, from the high end Japanese made ESPs down to the entry level $200 LTDs.
WOW!! Great mix! Loud music! hardly heard George and the camera work was fleeting as it passed all of the guitars so no one got a good look at those either. Good stuff!
Kind of yeah. Think of it like this.......ESP is to LTD as Gibson is to Epiphone. The money all ends up in the same pockets but LTD are made outside of Japan so they are way cheaper. All ESP's are made in Japan.
He has a very dry sense of humor, and is rarely serious in conversation. He does it for his own amusement. If others pick up on the joke, that's just a bonus.
