I’m reminiscing about where my year in 1979 went. At 18 September of 78 I turned 18 and left home from Zion Illinois with some family and friends and we headed west we drove across the northern states like the dakotas Montana Washington down to Oregon into California and south to San Diego. After about a month later were finding ourselves going east and ending up in st. Louis, we drove across the river to East St. Louis experienced a Pentecostal church complete with casting out demons and had to hitchhike from there the way to New Jersey, where I worked completed my GED and listed in the military did my basic training in Oklahoma in the summer of 79 went to Fort Benning jump schoolhad my MLS changed on me got shipped off the western Europe, where I soup panda that I was defending the nation constitution and the freedom of man around the world from Tierney and oppression. That’s my year in 1979 had gone.
One more thing to add, my grandfather was German my grandmother was Jewish, and therefore that did give me incentive to go and join the military and depend the peoples of Europe too
