Absolutely!! I really have been meaning to write to tell you how much these videos of 25 Live in Roma mean to me-I was living in Paris during 25 Live-I REALLY wanted to go to London (as they added more dates) to see George perform in this very special concert, one that was truly a love letter to his fans. I couldn’t because I was working as an au pair in addition to my University studies-and normally London is a super easy trip to make but there was an event given by the family I worked for that I needed to assist with-so being able to watch truly fills my heart with joy. George was not only a musical genius-the most incredible songwriter and performer-it was his heart that and soul that made him truly one of a kind. He put his heart into everything he did-he was so genuine..and you can see it and feel it in every performance here and in so many others. After he broke free from Sony so he could have control of his own career-so he could be completely true to himself in every creative decision-and we see what came from that. As he said, he knew he’d lose the US(where I live) radio time, but he wasn’t concerned about that. Freedom 90’ and everything that followed (even though he always wrote and produced everything himself) it gave him that freedom. I loved all of those albums(there isn’t one I don’t love) I love seeing him sing his heart out so joyfully. It fills me with joy. He loved his fans, and he gave so much to so many-most of it was out of the spotlight-for him, doing a charity concert was great but not at all enough. He showed that generous beautiful precious heart in how he helped and was there in a hands on way. Besides the issues he was devoted to, he gave to people who he encountered in life(he helped a couple pay for fertility treatment and they had a baby boy named George. He paid the student loans of a waitress. Those are just two of many, many examples. In his songs he shares himself-from joy, to fun, to sorrow and heartbreak...the range of his talent and creativity was boundless. I miss him deeply-but we do have his spirit with us through his words and his music-it inspires me and gets me up even on the most difficult day. That precious love (that for his family, his dearest friends, for those in need, and for all of us) is eternal. And just to say that his songs and performances from his Songs of The Last Century album touch my heart too-just splendid. Thank you for letting us celebrate him-and for giving us the joy of watching him having “(so much fun”-an Easier Affair ) I know he’s in Heaven in precious peace with his beloved mum and sister. Love you precious George. 🥰 Big thanks 🙏 and thanks to Sandro Lampis as well.
