Its a shame that george lost amsemlo.he deserved to have someone to love in his life but life Can be cruel at times and then a couple of years later george lost his mum aswell who he adored and I don't really think he ever managed to fully get over their death's I hope he is with them now in heaven.
I didn't realise "Jesus to a Child" was dedicated by George to Anselmo, how beautiful - the words and emotion that the song is sung with have more meaning now😢❣🌹
It's a shame that back then, there weren't all these new medicines that could have kept Anselmo alive. Today, he would have had a better chance to live a long life with George, and maybe George would still be here today with the love of his life. Instead, we are left with the memories of George through his music, which will live on with us forever. And George is back with the one man who truly changed his life for the short time they were together!
When someone dies because they don't want to be ostracized by their family, or worrying about society ruining their partners career, then that's the sad part.

Remember when George said It was at Christmas he was sitting at his family's table not knowing If he had that same death sentence! Yet, there was still more hope If he had gotten some kind of better treatment. Maybe, It would have prolonged his life some but, I don't know that they would have found the cure in time! With your recognition of how special It was for the two of them to have each other for even two short years, I was truly happy for George. George was such a special man, through his music, with his tender thoughts & feelings, he touched the hearts of many. George did especially need someone to love, just like all of us but, even more, being in the music business can be hard & lonely. Lord knows he's had enough of that. There will never be a man with so much love, sincerity, kindness, Integrity & honesty. George was a real person. He never had an ego problem, he never wanted to be someone else. He was George Micheal in music But, Yog in real life. George spread his love in so many ways, quietly, and personally. He is defiantly a man that anyone that knew him will never forget him. It's often too easy for some people to disrespect a truly good man. Someone that never hurt anyone. Some with a heart so big that spread It with no regrets. With his understanding and humbleness, I think by the time of his passing he knew he was always truly LOVED! Yes, we all love him & wish he was still here on earth. When someone you love passes away It seems, we ask ourselves how can this be, why has our higher power have taken him from us. Well, I guess we will try to think of good reasons to soothe our heartbreak, but in reality, I guess we'll never really know. So we must remember George, and let his music play, through his lifelong gifts, we will never be alone & know that we have been loved as well! So, wonderfully done. How curious that no one wants to speculate that George was quite possibly HIV positive himself. What i noticed as a hospital-based social worker for many years (including the worst of the early AIDS epidemic) was that he appeared to be getting opportunistic infections (remember the hospitalization for a mysterious "respiratory illness"?) This was possibly either pneomocystis-carnii or an exposure to TB but seemed to be the sign of a struggling immune system.. Not that it's important that we know what he died of... after all, celebrities don't die of the same diseases the rest of us do, right? Look how hard they are trying to cover up how Sinead O'Connor died. There is no shame to dying either of HIV or suicide but this constant covering up of the cause of death helps no one. Celebrities are, in the end, just as human as the rest of us.
George Michael always practiced safe sex. He had been tested after Anselmo and was negative. This was confirmed by his cousin. It is known that George Michael unfortunately smoked marijuana and also drank too much. He struggled with other addictions after the death of Anselmo and then his beloved mother died in 1997. Two important caregivers of George Michael died and he lost his footing and stability. The first part of and in GM died already in 1993 when Anselmo died. The death of his mother then gave him the rest. GM himself was horrified when he was told in the hospital that he was suffering from a fatty liver. The diagnosis was made when he had his blood tested. This was confirmed by doctors in Amsterdam and Vienna, that he had a fatty liver but was hiv negative. Why the hell would you want GM to be HIV positive? I don't want to be friends with you, because otherwise you would wish me bad diseases too. George Michael insisted on safer sex and had felt invoked and strongly advocated this campaign.

I first became aware of Anselmo, once I read his name...in the liner notes of George's "OLDER (1996)" CD booklet. It was a dedication. "OLDER" was a very melancholy CD. But, it was also great. The title track spoke to me and my personal evolution. "Jesus to a Child" oozes sadness. A few years later, George told the full story to the public. I was like, "DAMN--that's horrible!". On RU-vid, there's priceless footage of George and Anselmo in a studio---while George is working. I was so amazed seeing both of them moving, talking, laughing...and it wasn't a still photo. I was always curious if Kenny was a rebound, or a true love of George. "Amazing" was a sweet dedication to Kenny. But, I always knew it was nowhere near the love George had for Anselmo.
I think they loved each other very much. 14 years together is a very long time. Writing 4 or 5 songs about someone stating very significant positives they made in your life, to me indicate that there was a lot of deep , caring feelings! It’s very sad that he met this man, hit it off, then what proceeded, cut their time short! But that is something that bothers me about the relationship that George describes as “his true love” I am not questioning of course how he felt but I just don’t get the reasoning behind his partner not wanting to seek treatment that was proving to be life saving. Even considering everything surrounding being gay and AIDS! Here is why it doesn’t sit right with me. Now it’s almost like double speaking! In a way! So here is George Michael and the biggest in the music industry , doing a benefit /tribute concert in Freddie’s name for AIDS . Who was openly gay, still adored and loved and supported for his musical artistry and vocal ability by fans and other legends in the same industry, geographically, world wide. But yet he didn’t want to seek treatment in fear of what the media and the stigma of George Michael revealing he was gay. had a partner, who just found out he has aids, would be massacred in the press? Stigmatized somehow! Your partner is singing at a benefits concert for a legend in the music industry that was gay and died of aids along with many other music legends and stars of other careers. And many more going on in this country other countries ! With even more legends of the music Industry and celebs. Any back lash from the corporate AH’s, MSM, Celeb magazines, Paparazzi would have been the death of them. The bands and solo artist like Queen, Elton, Bowie,,Stones, Aerosmith, Prince, Madonna .. all of them would have all but ended them simply by never giving them another pic or interview. Not to mention the connections that were available plus the money, George had to get him help under the radar. I don’t know something just doesn’t jive!! Just doesn’t make sense gif the very reason they say it does. The public atmosphere! Watch George perform at that Freddie tribute. That was the public atmosphere! So who’s got the upper hand!

It's crazy how he claimed to be an atheist yet he sang mentioning angels and he sang like Jesus to a child and he wore crosses sometimes I think deep down he knew there is a God and i think with such a close death he felt it but couldn't admit it

I think George had AIDS suffered illnesses from the disease but had them under control with many stays in hospital, something went wrong and he died. RIP to a lovely kind generous Man, he is truly missed by so many people.

George Michael was very afraid of diseases and insisted on safe sex. Unfortunately, he was very careless with drugs and alcohol. George Michael was shocked by the diagnosis of fatty liver.
She was the wife of George’s good friend Andros. George became godfather to Jacky and Andros’s son. I believe that is James Kennedy who is now on Vanderpump Rules.
George Michael tragically passed away in 2016. He died from natural causes that resulted from problems with his heart and his liver. But he will forever live on through his music and in the hearts of all of his fans!
How who died Anselmo or George? Anselmo died from aids and George from what another posted. There were many other things, health ptoblems, in play with George's death but his family prefers it not be known yet.
George Michael practiced safe sex. He had a blood test done because he thought he might have AIDS due to shortness of breath. He was diagnosed with : Fatty liver. George Michael had shortness of breath because he smoked too much marijuana. Another problem for fatty liver was : George Michael unfortunately drank too much alcohol. All blood tests were always hiv negative. This was also confirmed by the doctors who diagnosed fatty liver in Amsterdam and Vienna. An autopsy was performed and in February/March 2017 the cause of death was reported concerning George Michael. The finding was: fatty liver. This was then confirmed the third time by doctors from UK. Before that, doctors from Amsterdam and Vienna confirmed it. Do not impute lies to three teams of doctors it can cost you dearly.
