He wasn't just beautiful to look at. He was a beautiful human being who extended great kindness to many through his charitable donations. He used to go out into the streets of London giving money to homeless people. There were countless acts of kindness to individuals too but he never told anyone. As well as having a great voice he was one of the greatest songwriters of his generation and arguably of all time. What a beautiful soul he had. Will always be missed. RIP George.
I don’t know if anyone else has mentioned it but after George’s death on Christmas Day in 2016 we began to hear about all of the charities he supported anonymously. He help individuals too and wanted no publicity for doing so. He was a sweet sensitive soul that never got over the loss of his first love Anselmo who died of an HIV complication and the loss of his mum Lesley years later. His little sister Melanie was his hairdresser and traveled with him around the would. She passed away 3 years to the day after George on Christmas Day 2019. Christmas Day also happened to be his mum’s birthday. George never received the recognition he should have received. He wrote, produced, arranged and played almost all the instruments on his songs. Oh yea, he sang a little as well. I like to think of him in heaven with his love Anselmo, his mum Lesley, his little sis Melanie and his idol Freddie Mercury. RIP all. Miss you George.
This song IS the mid 80s, beautifully captured here in both the song and video. This was peak existence for many. An absolutely fabulous written and performed song.
Asia, I can't tell you how good it felt to hear someone express their feeling about George. I'm 76 years old, straight and love great music. Keep up the great work with yor hubby.
This GORGEOUS eyes were light brown. I loved his SWAGGER, his style of dress, he had a heart of gold. Next to Elton John, George Michael spent a lot money for his charity work. His voice is so unique. I miss him terribly.💯💯
Tomaytoes Tomartoes. Semantics. The whole genre thing is dead nowadays. So many cross-overs and fusions. I listen to every single type of music going. I find pushing things into little pigeon holes is a waste of time. I'd rather just listen to the music.
I love this song everytime I hear it it makes me smile mostly because my grandmother love watching BET and when this song came out she was watching it and I walked in the room and said what you doing lady and she said watching this pretty boy sing she said I love this song I said okay she said I love it cuz it's called guilty feet I said No grandmother it's called Careless Whisper 😂😂😂😂
Take a listen to the amazing vocals (solo and background) on "One More Try" (from the 'Faith-album' and a favourite of my late dear father) and "They Won't Go When I Go", a Stevie Wonder song (from 'Listen Without Prejudice' Vol. 1)... knocks me off my feet every time I hear them! I'm sure you too... George was something else!
Love watching your reactions, one of the greatest songs of all time! That's pretty cool too how you have the video playing on the whole screen pretty sick!
Well, this one is a timeless classic which will be around long after we're all long gone. It has all the ingredients. As much as I love Mr. Michael's voice, it's the sax that gets me off in this one. Thanks for reacting to this classic song.
This song is such a masterpiece. Even though the song has a romance vibe to it, the lyrics are actually sad and tell a story about losing the person you love. This song always gives me chills.
George Michael is FINE. I am a bw in her mid 60's I been listening to his music since WHAM. Check out George & Stevie Wonder, Living for the CITY and all of the many DUETS like, Aretha, Whitney, Mary J, Mariah Carey, Ray Charles, etc. I still listen to him music, check out his catalog. I Iove this man still.💯💯
He had the true talent. He wrote his music, an Angelic voice. Yes, Asia. He was gorgeous and a He gave back. I was fortunate to see the Faith tour ❤️ He is so missed. A true God given talent.
Hahaha!! George was DEFINITELY "cute"!! Lol!! If you know his song "Faith" then you gotta do the song that leads into the "Faith" music video.... it's "I Want Your Sex". It was written and recorded during the height of the AIDS/HIV epidemic in the late 80's ('87 I believe)..... it has a super FUN dance beat and a GREAT message!! I think you'll really like it! P.S.... Asia, George looks even better (if that's possible! lol!) in that video!! ;) ;) GREAT reaction guys!!
another video you would like is Everything she wants. The next one one you need to see is George Michael and Queen doing Somebody to love. He said he has Amber eyes. The song was listed as Wham! .
I was in his concert in Italy (i was around 16) and Enrique Iglesias (which was a sex symbol at the time) was playing before him, and everyone at that point knew George was gay but even so all the ladies in the crowd started chanting "We want George!". This is just to sum up if there's a god it's unfair he's giving both good looks and a good voice :P
Reminds me of an air hostess I was seeing for a few months and fell completely head over heels in love with before she ended it out of the blue. "We could have been so good together" 😢 I often wonder where is is and how shes doing.
Hi, You have 30+ years to catch up on. WHAM & FAITH, were just the beginning! George just gets better & better, If that's even possible. Once you start moving through his career, you'll see just what Myself & others say is very, very true. You just can't beat George, you can't! My suggestion for your next song will be FREEDOM 90. George also wrote a very different version with WHAM. Maybe check out both, one after another. He wrote, sang, arranged, produced, & created his videos. He does It all with perfection!
I hated seeing the heartbreak on so many women's faces when they learned he was gay.....I saw a similar reaction a few years ago around Matt Boomer (White Collar and Magic Mike).
@@dalefleming6427 It turned out that It did not change the way Women loved him, If not more. George was asked this question, & what I just said, he said. Check It Out, It's on UTUBE, on an interview!
It broke my best friends heart when he came out of the closet, lol, she loved him so much, of course, she continued to but she felt he would never be with her (like that was going to happen, lol,we were young teens at the time) He did have a girlfriend at one time though..lol the same thing happened years later when she discovered Ricky Martin...One More Try is an awesome hit from George(RIP) Keep On Rockin'
Me being a 70's and 80's hard rock n classic rock person i never in a million yrs would i ever own a George Michaels CD... let me tell ya... his "OLEDR" cd is a absolute master piece of great music!
As an incredibly straight man, I am able to say without hesitation that George was a beautiful human. But there was also the hints of a beautiful soul trapped in a constant maze of doubt, self-hatred and confusion. You can make so many others fall in love, but it matters little if you're unable to love yourself...
George Michael wrote this song (while riding a London bus...) at the age of 17. Check out "I'M YOUR MAN" (Director's Cut Video), "I WANT YOUR SEX" (Official Video), "A DIFFERENT CORNER" (Official Video), "FREEDOM '90" (Official Video), "ALL SHE WANTS" (MTV Unplugged), "ONE MORE TRY", "PRAYING FOR TIME", "JESUS TO A CHILD"... The late George Michael was in a league all his own - extremely talented, he gave generously with his heart, while singing to us straight from his soul.
Peep One More Try by GM. I was too young to be into him but grew up hearing him everywhere, but now as a 40 plus adult he’s grown on me. Dude got some hits!!!!
