The making of the greatest song in human history. I wish George could have enjoyed it as much as we do while he was alive. A common theme with George, I think he dealt with insecurities his entire life and honestly resulted in his death. I miss him so much! So glad that we have videos like these that keep him alive :) Also a huge shoutout to Andrew Ridgeley for all he currently does to keep George and Wham! Alive!
George was an Angel, sent by God, to help me...:-) Can't wait to see him again in Heaven...:-) FYI: George wrote these lyrics of an actual event. And the video. He wrote this to remind me... George proposed to me in a restaurant, long ago....I ended it the next morning, and Andrew got the plane for me and I left. I'll always love George...:-) He proposed again, afterwards, but I couldn't leave my mother....because of all the bad things in the music industry back then...:-( George told me he'd never be with another woman, and he wasnt.... The last time I saw him, was when he was set up in CA. He came and told me, because I composed music early on before anyone knew them....I had certain rules in our agreement....:-) Can't wait to see George again, in Heaven....:-) The second time he proposed in my parents backyard, on Christmas Eve, around midnight. I said yes...but then George wanted to go inside and tell my mother, so I said no. It started snowing, and the snow flakes hid my tears...:-( Back then, my mother was drinking, after my brother's and sister were murdered...one by one. I was too embarrassed to explain what had happened to George. You see, I had a music contract with Michael Jackson at age 11, to compose for him. (I had already composed for Jackson 5.) At age 12, someone got into my parents basement, tripped me, causing me to fall while carrying a gallon glass milk container. I severed a finger, which was re-attached at Doctors hospital in lanham MD. I couldn't play lead guitar anymore. Soon afterwards, a white male with curly blonde hair, showed up at the bottom of my parents driveway, and stated he bought out my contract from Michael, and I had to compose for him now. I refused. I didn't sign anything. He stated he would kill me, I said go ahead. Then he said he'd kill my brothers and sister. I said go ahead. I never dreamed he would ever do that...but I saw him kill three of them...:-( I was protecting George, by not telling him what had happened.... The first time he proposed, I left the ring, on the bed. When I got back to my parents home, I found it in my suitcase. I cried. Just then, that while male with curly blonde hair barged into my bedroom, took the ring, and had this stupid smirk on his face. He drugged me, so when I woke up, the ring was gone and I couldn't remember anything else. When George was set up, in CA, I was working in Federal law enforcement and our washer or dryer broke. George went to my parents house, and my mother told him where I was, which was at Seabrook laundrymat, doing laundry. At first I didn't remember him, then I did. I told him to do one interview explaining what happened in CA. He wanted me to choose who would do the interview, and I told him to find an honest person, and tell them exactly what happened. I laughed that day, when he told me about it. George spent two Christmas's with my family before my brother's and sister were murdered. The second one, since I knew he liked boating, I bought him this gold plated whistle and put an inscription on it...:-) I was only making minium wage back then. I never required almost all the bands I composed for, one penny...only a favor later in life when I asked...:-) That favor, is to help save the Missouri river...:-) Oh, and George gave me a beautiful diamond broach, the same one he put in his music video, Last Christmas. I wore it to school one day, to hold my scarf. I was going to return it to George, but that Christmas my two little twin brothers hid it. I found it pinned to the backside of a pillow on the sofa. Anyway, the only day I wore it, I was composing for the band Kansas. They showed up at my school, begging me for lyrics to my music. I wrote them down after I arrived at my Civics class, on my arm. My teacher had a pop quiz that day, saw the writing on my arm, sent me to tge restroom to wash my arm. Another teacher, stopped me in the hall, read them, then let me borrow a pencil and hall pass to write my lyrics on...which I called a poem. I was very private about my music. After school, two Kansas band members showed up...added last line to my lyrics, Surely Heaven waits for you. The song is Carry on my Wayward Son. Kansas did not want to go out and play, they wanted fame instantly. That day, a 4 door silver car was parked in the bus lane. Two older men stood outside of it. A Kansas band member ran off with a group of students walking home. The other one, wanted me to meet those two men, to approve of them fronting the band. Meaning, putting up the money to get them started sooner. I said no, I wanted them to earn it, and just play out. He insisted, begged, so I did. The two men stalled me, circling me preventing me from leaving, and after the buses, and students left, they brutally attacked us both. The Kansas band member was stabbed, and put into their trunk. I was beaten, raped, stabbed, strangled, and my ear was cut off and left for dead. A person found me, untied all the knots the murder put in my scarf after he strangled me, in order to do CPR. I came back, saw the person on top of me and started punching him. He quickly jumped off, telling me I was safe now. Then told me my ear was cut off. He looked around, found my ear and the used broken condom my attacker used. My attacker robbed me, ripped out both my long gold earrings I made from my mother's old broken necklace, and stole that broach George Michael gave me. My attacker, and murderer of the Kansas band member was called, by his friend that was with him who drove, "Trump". I had to remember that name of my attacker, so I rhymed it with "Stump". The FBI responded, since my family was in the victim witness protection program, due to four serial killers who attacked me in Baltimore Maryland, on the way home from elementary school. Two boys were murdered and dismembered. One killer was caught, executed in the electric chair. Turned out he had been abducted from another state years earlier, at age 8...:-( I later identified "Trump" in person. He was never charged. I was severely traumatized and soon after my six year old brother he murdered in front of me. Police put it was an accidental drowning at Great Falls. His friend also murdered my older brothers school friend and took his body with them. All my brothers and sister went there that day to fish...:-( I'm going public now...to not only save our country...but the world.
I was a young adult in the 1980's. It was absolutely INCREDIBLE to experience Wham! and George back then!!! I agree that sadly, George wrestled with some pretty big demons, one being how he felt about his physical appearance. Breaks my heart. I have always thought that he was the most GEORGEOUS man! What a bright light his soul was in this world. He is SO missed.❤
I was 19 years old when I heard this song and I love it. It’s pretty good song that George Michael sing it it’s hard to forget this beautiful music of him. ❤❤❤

As a diehard Prince fan, the death of George Michael does more for me than my own hero. He made such beautiful and legendary songs and was a very kind guy....
Fabulously gifted man who blessed us with his amazing voice and songwriting talents. When I listen to him sing, I smile because his raw emotion fills my heart with joy. Such sadness for his fans knowing he passed away. Love ya!

I LOVE Vevo Footnotes. Actually, I love the Vevo 80's channel. It became one of my favorites recently, ever since I found out about it in the last two months.
Michael had 11 saxofonists before choosing the best one? He probably did not know Dutch sax candy, Candy Dulfer. She worked with Prince and Dave Stewart. I have seen her in the Escape in Amsterdam at BV Popprijs. She had an award for best new artist. She wasn't famous back then but I had the privilege to see her back then. Watch Lily Was Here, sax Candy w/Dave Stewart in a musical conversation. 🎸🎷
I was lucky enough to work in security at one of George's concerts & whilst i never met him, anyone who did said he was a gentleman. I got to hear my favourite songs by my favourite singer & get paid at the same time!! Miss George but we still have his genius to appreciate. 💯💯🙏🙏💞💞💞
In the history of mankind, no song is greater than this song. I am an African who's exposed to many, if not all genre of music.. You may think this is just an ordinary song, but when you experience a big loss in life, you will understand this is a timeless masterpiece that will live forever! And I've never seen a man more beautiful than George in 85'...
