And when they created Moon Knight and Werewolf by Night, I thought Marvel was branching off into its own horror genre? You continue to expand that and that's where you can fit Blade in. You could also re-brand Ghost Rider too and the "Avengers" type film for them would be a Midnight Sons movie.

Hot take for Blade director, Ari Aster. If not I like what Zoe Kravitz did with Blink Twice. As far as underrated superhero movies it could be just the passing of time but I don’t hear The Watchmen or the first Wonder Woman movie getting much love.

Fullmetal Alchemist 2003 was an animated show and so redoing it as Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood later was not as big of a hurdle. Remaking GOT is like trying to have lightning strike twice in the same bottle. It ain't happening. GOT, which was a live action show with real sets, locations, big battles, high-quality acting, a great and memorable soundtrack, etc., had lots of interesting story twists that subverted a lot of fantasy tropes for a lot of people. So from a production standoint alone I don't see them remaking that show. Nor would I want them to because I love that show as it is. Also, the story of books 4 and 5 slows down considerably and so the show did some smart adaptation choices by just not including most of the hundreds of tiny subplots with lots of tertiary characters that haven't even reached their conclusions yet. You can say "well including all that stuff would be more faithful"...but I doubt it would make for a good tv show that would keep people invested. The people who complained about 2 slower House of the Dragon episodes this year? They're going to stop watching the second you reach AFFC and ADWD. GOT will likely be the ONLY adaptation of ASOIAF and I'm fine with that because it's an excellent show.

They’re absolutely going to do Game of Thrones over again. They’re already redoing Harry Potter as a TV series. They’ll redo GoT forsure. It’ll be just like 15/20 years from now and GRRM is finished with the final book.

Van is right with the Red Wedding. I truly envy those people who never knew the line "No. I am your father." before seeing the movie. Even as a kid of the late 80s and 90s...that line was in the culture. We used to say it into a spinning fan to make it distorted. But to be in the theater and witness it for the first time, that level of shock must have been wild. And thats what the Red Wedding was. To be so utterly blown away again, 10-15 years from now, will that new generation never have heard about it? And get to experience it the way we did, or those people in the theater for Empire did Vader's reveal? Thats a special kind of feeling. I'm not even against them doing the show again in some new way to finish the story once GRRM actually finishes(he never will), but the second time is just not the same.

muuuuuch harder to do that with a live-action series than with fullmetal alchemist, for obvious reasons. that being said, there are a lot of actors/actresses, if they take the time to do the work, i think they could find options who match up with the original game of thrones, and in some cases (particularly robert and renly baratheon, among others) maybe even exceed them

I definitely feel like GoT could get a reboot if GRRM ever finishes the series. Despite the Red Wedding and other events being known. For book readers, the Red Wedding was already expected and a huge amount of us still watched and enjoyed the show (up to a certain point). The actors from the show were really really good, but a lot of those characters were ruined (according to some) based on the way the show ultimately ended. I don't think there would be a huge uproar if they rebooted with a new cast.

I’m glad GGRM spoke out. Too many butterflies… really season 1 of GOT is the most faithful, then season 2 hbo started changing and excluding characters and caused domino effect resulting in bad ending. For HOtD if they really don’t include the event George said, forget it, for people that don’t read the book the show is going to be confusing at best and many book readers will probably stop watching any successor shows. HBO response was a bit arrogant which signals to me to just stick the books and not look forward to their shows.
