I saw a video of a guy saying that something that ppl forget about when voting for presidents (which truthfully I don’t think I ever thought about before until I saw the video) is the cabinet, when you’re voting for the president you’re also somewhat voting for the ppl the president will put to represent, no president is perfect, but Biden’s cabinet is incredibly diverse (from what we’ve previously have had & that’s a good thing), to move forward, for someone like Pete to say our infrastructure is/was built on racism is an incredible moment of acknowledging hey how can we move forward and better with knowing what’s been done before
His cabinet hasn't been very good either. Can you remind me who is doing great job? Pete? No. When you know who the Secretary of Transportation is, they aren't doing a good job. Kamala? No. One of main jobs was the border and that has been a mess. Again, who is doing great job and should keep it?

I really enjoyed his first book, and I always wondered when he would write another. It’s been a quarter century, and he probably doesn’t have as much insider stuff (from his own personal experiences at least) in this one, but also looking forward to it.

They do, actually. Books, movies, etc. get released to certain people well in advance of the public release for review purposes. Do you ever wonder how movies talk about the critical Acclaim they received even though they are releasing same day? That’s because certain individuals get a pre-screening of this so they can give their opinion. As far as the panel reading his book? I’m willing to bet they probably get highlights from it versus them actually reading the full book. But that’s just my guess.

The biggest challenge for an author tackling the history of the Situation Room, the basement room of the White House where some of the biggest intelligence crises have been handled in recent decades, is the room itself. As a setting, it’s pretty underwhelming.

He just says 'key moments' everyone already knew about 10 years ago, it would have been interesting to hear an interesting insight comment but he didn't really much new or interesting about actually being in the situation room...
