When George Strait retired it 💔. He's a masterpiece and contributed so so much to traditional country music. A true icon. Some songs get you right where you live!

Things are catastrophic at the hospital, as they are across the country, so long hours for me as I'm one of the few staff to not get covid yet, and Dave is picking up the slack at home, but your posts are still a wonderful retreat when time allows, thanks for what you do Don, you bring sunshine into all of our lives.

I'm biased, George could sing a phone book and I would rate him through the roof. I'm still looking through your list, but have you done Jessi Colter? I saw a great and pretty recent version of 'Storms never last' she did with Waylon. It was sweet to see after all their years together, they still had love. Thanks for playing George!!!
Terrific song! Jamey and Leanne Womack did a duet of this song at a George Strait tribute that was fantastic as well. Jamey is one of the best writers of his generation and George is, well, George, which is to say a legend. Would love to see you do Drive by Alan Jackson. Love the channel. Be well.
Can't go wrong with George. Jamie Johnson did another song called Silver Eagle. In the song, he melted down his wife's ring and had it put in the shape of a silver eagle, which he wears around his neck.
you gotta check out the George/Jamey co-write Kicked Out Of Country.there is clips from both doing this song,both great but Jamey's version tells the story of how it was written before he sings it
He had an open house that was invite only. His daughter in law is the realtor. Most of the cost ( dropped to 10 million) is land, the house sets on 12 acres

@George Montejano Tough call on that, as I gave both renditions really high scores (George's I gave a 9.8, Jamie's a 9.4). The settings were different, which made the sound quality different, but I liked different things about each rendition. But the lyrics are what slammed me, and both songs did that equally well. Ha!!

Don... a cover of the Mr. Shorty song and video by Ed Gary may be better than the Marty version....plus a great video....if you've the time, take a look sayonara
@smalltownfire It was one of the few 10’s I’ve given, but his people contacted me and asked me not to use music from their channel, which is where Jason’s music is promoted. They had issues with the quality of the sound on a song or two of his that I’d done, and were very kind about asking me not to use their stuff any longer, and even said I could leave up the ones I’d done, but I decided to not risk having any issues in the future and (painfully) took it down. It’s the nature of copyright law and mutual respect of the artists and content creators like me, but we reactors run the risk of having our whole channel taken down if someone asks RU-vid to take down our videos due to infringement.
