Michael Richards appeared as Kramer on one episode of Mad About You. Like Seinfeld? Here's my new book about the show: www.amazon.com/Seinfeld-Cultu...
That despondent expression on George's face while watching Mad About You and realizing the mistake he's made in deciding to get married must be one of the best pieces of acting in the history of sitcoms.
I've had that EXACT look once....got back with an ex one time and after we slept together we watched tv and the reality set in that this was about as good as it was ever going to get....i almost got sick with my stomach....I swear I bet I looked exactly like George.
What is the point of saying something so midwit and hyperbolic. You can’t actually believe this- any actor can make the same bored face indeed if anything tubby is overacting and pouty because tubby was a pouty little baby about his “chemistry” with the actress.
@@dannytallmage2971 Danny boy, your confused and semi-literate post reminded me of a wise man's saying: "The difference between intelligence and foolishness is that intelligence has its limits."
@@crede9427 As himself, not a character from Friends. CYE is a pseudo documentary behind the scenes meta commentary on Hollywood . Not a sitcom per se.
So let me get this straight... Kramer is renting from Paul who is not only a filmmaker but also a TV star. Jerry and George are writing a sitcom for NBC about their lives which references the show Paul reiser or is it Buchman is staring in. Also Jamie and Fran meet phoebe in central perk who’s sister Ursula is also in the sitcom mad about you that Jerry has written into his NBC sitcom... I’m lost
@@chandrachud let me understand this then. You got the hen the rooster and the chicken the rooster goes with the chicken so who’s having sex with the hen?
Seinfeld, Friends, Mad About You all have an episode where there's a blackout in the city, all 3 episodes aired the same week. I can't remember if there's a cause stated but kind of cool
Larry David refused to have other shows on his show. NBC demanded it. So he wrote a script where Joey was killed off on his show. NBC never bothered him again.
Okay I've looked that up but it's an unsubstantiated rumour that NBC wanted David to write a Friend's character into Seinfeld but it was Ross not Joey so sounds like it didn't happen and is just urban myth.
Thanks ks for the feedback. The writer, Peter M. supposedly came up with the idea. I'm not sure if any Friends characters showed up on Seinfeld. If they did, then it's a made up story for sure. I feel like it has good odds of being true. I always liked how George had to watch Mad About you with Suzanne after they got engaged (end credits) I never liked that show as a teenager, young adult, or a middle aged man. I think Larry didn't like them either.
The trouble is this totally destroyed continuity cos if Kramer was in Mad About You then George couldnt be watching it "in world" if it was already in their universe. The funny thing is Susan is exactly like Seinfelds version of Jamie, Heidi Swedberg is blonde, sounds exactly the same as Helen Hunt and they both have sharp pointy triangular noses.
