Found this while I was preparing for the Bmore Dilla Tribute on Feb 18th at the Ottobar in Baltimore. We play as the house band performing all Dilla tracks. I've done nothing but play this song for the last 2 days. I've been mesmerized!
I've listened to this upteenty times...Every time...just an overpouring of inspiration and gratitude. One of the most beautiful songs I've never heard. Props to all who contributed.
Revisiting this 1-3-21......needed a recharge ....56 and counting Blessings....Take time to count yours...Shalom for you and yours in years the years to come...Be Blessed but more importantly..BE A BLESSING!!!!!
Out of all of the Dilla beats this one was by far the greatest and had the deepest feeling and real dilla fans know this to be true. So for Georgia to cover this one and do such an incredible job really says a lot about her as an artist
she did a stunning job on this cover. but you can make an argument for tons of dilla tracks being his greatest! my personal choice is probably Players.
@@shotterz Definitely I am playing it now and yesterday and the day b4 ...On and on and onnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn... Just deep have you in tears of bliss
OMG MY BABE PUT ME ON THIS AND EYE CAN'T STOP LISTENING TO IT!!! TAKES YOU ON A WHOLE NEW LEVEL. ETHERICALLY SURFING FROM THE SOUL!!! LOVE IT, PHENOMENAL!!!! EYE LOVE HER STYLE
Jesus Cristo! The track ended and I got light headed. Dilla is my favorite producer or all time but I'm sorry her influence goes back long before Dilla was even a thought. This is soul music, I'm talking New Birth, Earth, Wind, and Fire, Santana, Gil Scott Herion, Curtis Mayfield type shit. Without them, there would be no Dilla. Clearly she was inspired by the greats 1st and possibly Dilla 2nd. As far as complexity, and arrangement of her works, tell me one producer that even comes near?
