A full dashcam video of the Road Test for the Georgia Provisional Driver's License. I passed with a 100. The route map is included at the end of the video.
I took my test today at this location & we took the exact same route!! I messed up the parallel parking because I forgot that I wasn’t lining up with the actual curb but instead the cones representing the imaginary curb. I re-attempted and got it right the second time. Everything for me was in the exact order of everything in this video. I botched the first parallel parking attempt & hit the imaginary curb but they let me continue anyway & passed. Don’t stress, you got this.
Breanna Matilda Yes! & the car you drive has to be in your or your parent’s name. If it’s a rental, you have to be on the contract. As long as the car has the necessary requirements (no huge crack on windshield, headlights, turn signal lights, etc.) it should be good to go. There’s a crack in the windshield of the car I used but they were okay with it so I think as long as it’s not big it’ll be good. Hopefully this helps!
Hi there!! I took my test today at this location & passed with an 80. So I recently turned 20 and was so nervous after failing my first driving exam (at a different location). After all the anxiety and preparation I knew I had to persevere. So I continued on and I passed, and so can you!! Take your time, and be your inner "old lady" as my dad advised me. There is no need to rush as you are demonstrating that you can drive safely after all. I believed in me & I believe in you!! You will do great.
Hey y'all, I passed my drivers test yesterday!! I would always watch this video lol. I tested in metro atl and it was easy. Mine was a contactless test. They had cameras placed inside my car and they told me where to go. I recommend going to locations like these because it's easy and you won't be as nervous. But, they will still see what you're doing (the cameras). I perfectly passed my parallel park and reverse park and all that, I forgot to turn on my signal when exiting the parking, but just make sure yall don't forget. The rest was pretty easy. Just do your test confidently and don't overthink!!
I took my test at this location, and we took the same route! I would definitely not recommend taking your test first thing in the morning because the glare from the rising sun was so strong that I couldn't see in my sideview mirrors, so I had to take two attempts at parallel parking. And during the road portion, just make sure not to go to fast and just be confident! I passed, but I definitely didn't drive as well as I usually do because I was sooooo nervous. But even if you make mistakes (like I did), don't let it put you in a bad mood for the rest of the test because I still ended up passing! Y'all got this!
I’m a student and I took my test at this location today and passed so here are some tips! First off, you may not go the route taken in the video so don’t be worried, I took a different route through a subdivision near by. Second, be confident and take your time driving. I recommend being more cautious during the test errors of other drivers could effect you! Lastly, come prepared. This location is very strict on scoring so come ready and knowledgeable. Best of luck! * very helpful video :)
Hi guys! I passed the test with a 77! Same location More Info down ⬇️ Im 16, here's the requirement documents I brought: I brought my permit which was 1 year and a week old. I did my Joshua's law 30 hour program and printed out the certificate( just in case they don't take the emailed one). Birth certificate, SSN, proof that im enrolled in school (Transcript, report card, or schedule). ADAP certificate which my school provided. Had to bring my parent because I'm under age, so they brought their ID, utility bill, and a proof that the car has insurance, registration, and up to date tags. I don't think you need all of these documents but I bring them all just in case, cause I don't have time for them to be telling me to reschedule for another appt, Chile 🙄. Here's how my test went: I sat in the car waiting for the Examiner. She finally came and inspected the car, which she basically asked me to turn my blinkers on and press the brakes. Then she gets in and tell me about the 4 automatic fail which should be traffic violations, dangerous act, failure to follow instructions, and cause a accident.. I think. Correct me if I'm wrong.. Then she asked if I had any questions for her. I said no. And then she told me to go around and stop at the stop sign. So referring back to this video. I turned my signals on and went around to the stop sign. We stop and she told me to place the car in park. We did not go to the parallel parking space shown in the video. 1:41 Instead, we went to other side to do parallel parking and reverse parking. 3:04 So I did. But... I forgot to used my SIGNALS when parallel parking. But the parallel parking for me was very easy at least I passed on that part. Now here's is where I f* up. When I was reverse parking. I turned my wheel to late so I ended up hitting 2 cones on the drivers side (left side).. so she tells me, I failed the reverse parking and then proceeded to tell me "did I know I could use my camera," in my head I was like wow.. because I thought you couldn't use car cameras because that would've of been a form of cheating because not every car is going to have cameras. And she would tell me that after I failed reverse parking 💀. Anyways. We continued out. She told me to make a left turn. We went into a neighborhood. Super easy. We went basically in a circle and back to the dmv. I parked. And she told me I passed. No need to worry guys. Just remember use your SIGNALS because I definitely have been studying this video for a while and was reading the comments and still forgot to use my SIGNALS. Also, keep ur hands on the wheel at all times. Because she most definitely had to keep telling me that. Don't press the brakes hard. Take ur time. Um, if you have a back car camera, use it🥴 but still keep checking ur rear view mirrors though. Go below the speed limit as shown, but don't go too slow. For example, let's say 30 is the speed limit you might catch yourself going 35 or maybe 40. So make sure you keep a eye on that.
Took my test yesterday at the Augusta Location, and passed on the first try. Got my license through the governor order and had to take a test to keep it. All I had to do was parallel park, back up in a straight line, reverse park, and make two turns .. no guardian needed since I’m 21. Good luck everyone
Waaaaaaiiiiiiittttt! You didn’t have to have anyone in the car with you?! I came from Illinois and my license is expired. I have to take the written exam Friday and was told after holding on the phone for 2 hours that I had to have licensed driver with me in the car while o took the test! Which sucks because I don’t know anyone here and was told my husband couldn’t drop his car off for me and come home to the kids while I use the car!
Good job kid. I remember back when I took the driver exam, I failed the first test after backing over a cone but passed the second time around. My only concern before my test was parallel parking passed that part with no problem. One thing new is taking the new drivers out on the road which I believe gives a realistic taste to the test. I took my drivers test back in 1981 and like me, the kids will learn more such as defensive driving, driving at night in the rain and all kinds of stuff. Good luck and stay safe.
This was the very first video I checked on GA Road Tests and it was extremely helpful to get an overall understanding of the test. I took the road test in Alpharetta and passed with a 100. Thanks for this video!
I was just telling my husband you literally did perfect and you got a one hundred lol. Thank you for posting this video.Because we're about to take the driving test and now we know what exactly to expect
Just took the test at this location and passed with a 94/100! Thank you so much :) Took a different route into a neighborhood but everything else was so helpful.
@@rnngel Sorry for late reply - but nope! Just took one or two turns. The reason I lost 6 points were because the lady told me a turn into a neighborhood right as I was passing it, so I got points deducted for "not following directions". A bit unfortunate but still all good :)
@@TarsoIbsen-jg2nx Was not asked anything on the test -> but did have to parallel park and reverse park. Biggest piece of advice though if you haven't taken it yet are to make sure you completely stop at the stop signs and count for 5 seconds, because I heard other people taking it were failed for not doing so.
I just got done with my road test today at the same location!! They first did a pre inspection! Signals (left/right),horn and brakes! I did parallel parking and reverse parking! And reversing in a straight line! And then we went out onto the road to a different place than the video All went well I passed 😎
@@zuzus3 it went great I passed and no I didn’t but I think that’s only for people 18 and up. One thing tho is that my driver instructed was training someone on my test so the trainie was in the backseat the whole timw
I took my test at this location during COVID. I had to wait an hour after my appointment time because of the cold weather, shortage of Instructors, and the only one doing the Tests was the Manager. I passed the test with a 90 mostly because I forgot to use my turn signals when parking. Otherwise, I think I did quite alright and it was quite easy. And yea if you are nervous just like someone said, remember to use your turn signals even when parking.
@@aliyahdyan I took mines at the South DeKalb Mall. During Covid, You don't need necessarily drive on the road. You have to do 3 things, parallel parking, the reverse parking, and turnabouts. I drove on the street of the mall until you see a parking lot. My advice is to relax, and take your time. You can do it.
@@angelfreeman2484 I took mines at the South DeKalb Mall. During Covid, You don't necessarily drive on the road. You have to do 3 things. I took my test at this location today. Did a parallel park, reverse park followed by road test(virtual road test). The route taken was almost similar to this video but the loop was anti-clockwise(i exited from Eagle Drive). I passed it with 92/100.
I’ve watched this video 2 times and really helped my calm my nerves. I had my road test yesterday in Locust Grove, GA. I couldn’t help but still be nervous as heck, but the test was really short and I passed with 98 on my first try. I wanted to comment here because if anyone needs any questions answered about this DMV location for their test, let me know! I know there aren’t many answers about this location, I had trouble finding answers I needed.
@@marym4370 No, he was inside the car. I did parking lot portion first. Driving forward, backing up in a straight line. Parallel parking and then backing into the parking space. Next, we went onto the road, went through a neighborhood, and back on the road to the DMV. Lastly, he told me to park and told me my score, like in the video. Try not to let that nervousness get to you. Signal, signal, signal! Listen to the instructor. If you need reassurance on what the instructor asked you to do, ask them because if you don’t follow instructions it’s a fail.
I took my road test at the DMV in Dallas, Georgia (Justice Center) and got a 92. You had to do a u-turn (which I went too far and had to back up on), parallel parking (parked perfectly but forgot to use turn signal), reverse parking (had to pull out and pull back in), pulling into a park and driving around town for like 5-10 min. I didn’t mess up on road driving at all. I only lost points from forgetting to use the turn signal before I parallel parked. Don’t forget turn signals, don’t go pass the white line when stopping, and communicate when you’re going to edge up so you can see both sides of the road after you stopped. And yield to pedestrians. Good luck
Quick question ? I take mines there tomorrow when you did you parallel parking and backing in did you have to look over your shoulder the whole time you were backing up or just a quick glance back?
I’m taking my test at the dallas dds tomorrow and I’m super nervous !! I’ve practiced but I always think it’s never enough but I’m hoping I’ll pass so I don’t have to do this ever again!! I’ll keep y’all updated :)) Update: I passed with a 92 !!
@@brownie4032 it was super easy. You just sign in and wait for your name to be called. Then they’ll take ur info and tell you to drive around the building and reverse park into a space. You wait for the attendant to come out and they check all the lights. The whole test is in their parking lot and they don’t get in the car with you. She honestly barely paid attention to me lol
@@rheena6616 She H. Yep I did thankfully. You'll have to reverse and parallel park(make sure you turn your head and look behind you as park) once that section is done she'll tell you to drive out the parking and make a left on the stop sign to leave (that's what she told me at least) I'll say the driving portion was around 15-20minutes tops. They'll be a few stops, be sure to stop completely and count 3 seconds in your head. It wasn't bad when I did mine at around 2pm Sorry I'm not much of a help, I don't remember much. Good luck!
Ok, thanks Nimy i'm planning to reschedule my roadtest just marietta, 🙄, just thinking what will be the route i need to practise tomorrow? Lol looking the google map route to dmv maybe this will help my practise route tomorrow.
@@rheena6616 this is the route I remember really hope they didn't change it. Left at the stop sign leaving the DMV, continue straight and make a right at Al Bishop Dr. SW Keep going straight and when you hit the light at Callway Rd make a right after that go straight a bit more up until you hit Green Tee Dr. and make a right Go straight some more and at the stop sign make a left, at the second stop make another left and just make your way back to the DMV
My third driving test is coming the Saturday after next and I have decided to watch this video that my dad sent me so I will get familiar with what I gotta do.
Good afternoon, I wanted to ask, when turning would you use hand over wheel and when backing up will you have two hands on the wheel or one, while the other one is behind the seat?
If ur reading this don’t worry I’m telling u I took my test yesterday at the Newnan location and wanted to cancel the appointment and say never mind I was so scared I was going to fail . The instructor didn’t sit in the car with me she put a camera in there so she can see the road where I’m going and called my phone to instruct me what to do so it was me and who came with me in the car she had me parallel park which I failed then had me reverse in a parking spot i passed them go on the road and do a uturn make sure u use signals and then she had me drive back and meet her at where we started I passed with a 81 because of parallel.
I’m taking my test June 2nd at the newnan location and it will be virtual as well. Can you remember the route you took on the actual open road or do you just have to go and do a u turn on the open road part?
I was about to knock the cone over, but I caught myself then drove forward. I did lightly tap it with the back of my car though. I failed that part because i was unable to successfully align with the cones when parallel parking.
Just passed my road test, didn't know I was gonna hv road test today, was only planning to apply for DL then suddenly they scheduled me for tht exactly day road test. Wasn't well prepared but I got me 94 so yall got this. They asked me to parallel, back straight, back park, and driving on real road also which I got no clue at all as I just came here in US 3 Mos ago 😅, but my husband convinced me to just go ahead.
@@_chainlesslilbam_ am from Macon, everything is now different. My step daughter had taken driving test around November last year and the inspector used face camera or some sort of instead of sitting in the passenger seat. It was easy test drive thou. Every one got this, take it easy!
I took my test today at this location I literally did everything so perfect literally parallel parking reverse my signals EVERYTHING!! We go to the road and I did fine but when we went back to park she told me I failed because I went 32 on a school zone but the lights weren’t even flashing it was 11am school wasn’t over. I was so sad I felt so confident and comfortable and she told me it was an automatic fail for not going 25 on the school zone ;(
I did the test there and failed. I heard that they had been failing students trying to get their drivers licenses and I was one of them. It was nerve racking and my instructor told me to not talk but ask questions I was so confused and nervous. I never even got to the road part yet because she failed me I was so upset
I have a question what all you had to do in the parking lot? Cuz I’m trying to see what I gotta practice on but that’s all ik is you have to do parallel parking and reverse parking
@@_chainlesslilbam_ Yup you gotta do both. And an easy test where you reverse in a straight line. They’ll be looking to see if you’re checking all your mirrors. Don’t sweat the parallel parking, I backed over a cone and still passed with an A.
@@_chainlesslilbam_ Nah they most likely won’t require quickstop. I took mine in Cartersville. The only hard part of the test was when I was instructed to leave the lot and drive on the road where there was traffic. But as long as you practiced and know what you’re doing you’ll be fine
Not really, I took the test in a Hyundai Elantra and the mirrors are kind of small. You should be able to line yourself up by looking over your shoulder
Quick question ? I take mines there tomorrow when you did you parallel parking and backing in did you have to look over your shoulder the whole time you were backing up or just a quick glance back?
Hey man ! Nice job on the road test! I'm taking mine soon! Im taking it at this location. Did you have to have to have the 40 hrs before taking the road test?
