Scary and stressful enough having a child with autism... But to have to then add further anxiety and fear, when the child somehow finds a way out of the house, and wanders off ?? ... So glad, it was a positive outcome, and not the ultimate tragedy ... 🤗 ...
my friend had lost his non verbal child with autism in a supermarket, it wasnt big but somehow he got lost. my friend was so surprised how fast he disappeared. The staff and even customers were helpful. Turned out he snuck in one of the bottom shelves due to hypersensitivity to light. He wasnt before but after being cooped up during the pandemic he sort of developed sensitivity to light. It was just a few minutes but yeah it was scary.
@@Sarahurrah9 Can confirm. I have ADHD and some behaviors similar to Autism, and when I was little, I would duck into the center of round clothing racks because it was calmer, quieter and also kinda fun. The thought of scaring my parent never occurred to me. I could disappear in an instant that way. Mom freaked out the first and second time but knew where to look for me after that, and she warned my dad so I'd get found and drug out.
Idk, to me Autism can be a good thing- if not lucky, so long as they’re not suffering and they have the capacity to love other, even if it’s hard to express or understand ppls body language. They’re usually really sweet and very smart- tho also maybe introverted.
Wonderful news. Thank you to the officer and K9 rescue officer. Recently a K9 handler put a retired K9 officer in an animal rescue. It's shameful. These dogs deserve the best. Luckily she was adopted to a loving home. And hopefully he will never be given another dog.
Let’s hope these handlers don’t take their dog to the Humane Society in Georgia like the German Shepherd that was 20 pounds underweight and dropped off at the Humane Society
Condemning an entire state because of one persons action is ludicrous. Get a grip on your negativity, especially in a situation like this, that ended wonderfully.
@@kibblenbits I condemn an entire group of people that are not well regulated. Sometimes these brave k9's are even euthanized because the handler doesn't want them after retirement. There are many cases of abuse too in many states. So yes I will call this state out but also other states that fail these loyal servants. These dogs should have a higher ranking than the handlers like the military. So stop clutching the pearls because you heard some truths
@@zoraidita2022 I know but the agent is now transferred to patrol and being "investigated" , he should be suspended or more and all this class should be thoroughly regulated. It is a stain on them
The boy petting the dog after he was found was the best reward for the pup. He did his job well !❤️💯 Glad the boy is safe. He was probably scared. Poor kid. Thank you to LE k9 officers for finding him ❤️💙💯🐾
Our autistic son got out of the home at three in the morning, he unlocked our front door (actually got the key by using a chair) and left. Thank god we live at the very end of our neighborhood, but he went two doors down and was playing basketball, our neighbor woke up when he heard the bouncing and found our 5 year old and brought him home. I was so scared, I mean we didn’t even know and I kept playing the “what if” game in my head. Home security back in the 90’s was expensive and we couldn’t afford it, so after talking with his doctors, we put a lock on his bedroom door to keep him safe at night.
Great job-however, "police blurred the video to protect the child's identity?" Really, just blurring out the actual face didn't disguise this poor child, come on news people!
DOG = GOD!!! MATALIK NA KAIBIGAN NG MGA TAO!!! PAKAMAHALIN AT PAKA-INGATAN ANG INYONG MGA ANAK!!! MGA ANGHEL SA LUPA!!! BANAL NA PAG-IBIG SA LAHAT NG NILALANG NG DYOS!!!
When the child pets that dog i just know I'm crazy because it makes me cry. What a relief. To be found. To be cared for and returned to loving parents, that's what this baby deserves ❤️💐😭♾️
I have to say as someone with Autism, parents, don't be afraid to do things like wedge a butter knife between the door and doorframe (out of reach of course). Cause that stopped me from trying to escape the house and run off. Plus, we can learn not to run off but if it happens, your not a bad parent, kids can just find a way to slip past at times like a cat. And there's my 2 cents. Take it as you will
