1. This kids should not have been in school with his history. 2. The parents need to be held responsible in some way, you can not tell me they did not know their son had an issue. 3. Parents need to be investigated as well....

FBI determined Gray made threats almost a year prior. Interviewed the kid and parents but Gray denied it was him (per partial FBI report shown on another network). Parents should have taken the interview seriously and locked up the AR and all the guns, hid the keys.

I went to Apalachee High School. Some of my greatest accomplishments and best memories were at this school, and now it’s someone else’s nightmare. This is heartbreaking. Such a senseless act of violence leaving the biggest impact on so many lives. My nephew is at the middle school right next to the high school and they were on a level 3 lockdown having to lay on the ground and take cover. Even though he wasn’t in the school, him and all the other students are greatly affected by this. I have my best friends son whose class was next door to the class that got shot up. He’s still in shock. I have another friend whose daughter was in the classroom that got shot and she was crying on the phone to her mom saying she was watching someone bleed out and dying. These are things our children should NEVER have to go through. School is for learning, reading, and writing, not learning how to take cover from fellow students running around with guns. Praying for my community right now as we are all still in shock and devastated. I hate that there are people at home without their kids or husbands and wives all bc a 14 yr old wanted to play video game in real life💔#ApalacheeStrong

The school was warned about the threat why did they not lock down the school.

This is so very sad. 2 children are not going home to their families and the others who were hurt will never get over this. Law inforcement needs to explain why this child was allowed in that school after their past history and where are the parents.

I can’t imagine how things have changed. My class graduated in 2014, small town but this sh*t kicked off right after I graduated it seems. It’s every other week at this point, super scary, super sad, and things need to change. Can’t wrap my head around going to school worrying about this in a serious matter. We used to joke about stuff like this, kids got picked on, including me at times. There’s definitely a line, but you don’t just go shoot the place up idc what’s being said to you. It’s a hard situation, and hopefully collectively we’ll be able to slowly resolve it. /endrant

When I was a child, I would get so mad sometimes that I thought about doing this horrific act. What stopped me was I knew my father would stomp the hell out of me. I wasn't scared of the police, however I was terrified of my father kicking the crap out of me. I had a great father 👍

The woman that asked about the boy coming and going to the restroom was told her daughter was lying to her. As the sheriff was told not to answer the question, why a faculty member was looking for the boy , and not a resource officer. Something sounds like it is being hidden.

I’m Canadian and live in Canada and our school shootings are very few and far between Thank Goodness. But my goodness how the hell does a 14 year old get his hands on an AR. Let alone get it into a school? This is crazy but I’m sorry Mr. Police Officer but prayers are just not working for obvious reasons because these shootings just keep happening!!!

I’d like to thank y’all for ignoring a valid threat and making it so easy for the shooter to obtain a gun. I’m just so thankful to be in a state where it’s a simple process to get a weapon but not an education. As a School Safety Security Officer I can tell you that TEACHERS are always dropping the ball by leaving their classroom doors UN SECURED. ! I have been having this issue every damn day and yet it is ME who gets called on th carpet for "offending" the teachers who take issue with the to e of voice and the manner in which I tell them to "CLOSE THE DAMN DOORS".. Heartbreaking 💔 I wish I had solutions to this problem but it's so many factors contributing to it I believe. We have low test scores, high truancy, broken homes, mental health issues, all of these things and more are NOT working and contributing to problems. We need to go back to basics reading, writing and arithmetic IMHO but I know nothing I'm just trying to throw solutions out here for discussion and food for thought.
