I believe UGA teaches their DBs (especially corners) to play that way-essentially face-guard. Drives me nuts.

55:23 Brooks...that's not a square in, look at 11 at top of route...that's a curl. Also, the depth of the route...indicates he's running a curl. So...the route combination over there would be the curl/flat. Normally curl/flat is run with an out by #2 WR, but in this case they're using a swing route from RB...accomplishes the same thing. Curl/flat concept puts Cov 2 CB or Cov 3 hook/curl defender in conflict. With all that, I think 15 is trying to influence the LB by making him think he's throwing the swing...this creates space for the curl route in behind the LB as he stretches and buzzes to the flat based on 15's hips, head, shoulders.

Really? I'm not good! I waited and watched to see what you had to say about the final throw of the game. I watched 3.9 qtrs of defensive chaos and two minutes of "Damn this. We takin the gloves off now!" from the offense. What happened in the last two possessions of the game made the whole G-Day complete. It was clearly all defense until the offense said "Wait, hold my beer". Two 2-minute drills from two Q's executed to near perfection. Go bring it to me in another show!!!
