This was one of the sloppiest games under the Brent Key era and they still covered the spread. That's very encouraging even though it was far from perfect

That felt WAY more like game 1 as it relates to mental miscues. Their QB was impressive to me, he looked way more competent than Klubnik

I attended GSU from 08' to 2012. We often hung with students from the AUC, GT, ATL Metropolitan College and GSU. That's about 7 schools within a 15 mile radius. This game turns ATL into a College Town. It brings everyone together. Let's have a toast to new beginnings and a bright future 🎉🍾

Watching the game, I thought GA State played better than FSU. Also interested to see how the D plays next week. McCord is a pure pocket passer, I expect that we'll get home to the QB more as opposed to letting the opposing QB complete underneath while we tackle in the open field.

So far this is going about how my college football 25 dynasty with tech went. 24/17 over fsu, 44/17 over GSU, with them leading me at halftime by a score. losses to cuse, duke, Miami, notre dame. But I did beat Georgia in a 4th quarter comeback with a Dub over Tulane in the Fenway bowl. Stay hopeful. Guess that means I’m not watching this Saturday with cuse😅

I was at the game and let me tell you this… this needs to be an annual game. The schools are 2 miles apart, massive alumni in the Atlanta. Tech has to move on from Georgia. Georgia is in a different class now. Tech needs to focus on State, Southern and maybe kennesaw (not really).

Defense played a vanilla scheme (nothing for Syracuse to see). Wreck we never blitzed and only rush 4 and sometimes 3. But defense played average at best. This was a game the clown would have lost. The refs kept GSU in the game. We had multiple holding calls and GSU had none!! Bad bad officiating opinion from a lowly former GT scrub lineman.

Not sacking their QB was the only major thing that concerns me, but other than that, we looked solid outside of a couple things. If we can play average and still cover the spread against a semi-decent Georgia State team, then we're looking pretty good.

Ditto, but as Wreck said in the live chat they were getting the ball out quick, another post below mentioned no blitz just vanilla package scheme. The stats and results didn't match the appearance in real time that had me thinking we are struggling with these guys. Credit to Ga State they had a great plan and definitely threw a punch in the 1st half.

Just saw Ohio Bobcats had 255 yards rushing vs 'Cuse...I'm salivating that Faulkner should have a field day and that will take alot of pressure off Haynes. My biggest concern is they will definitely test our pass Def, however, we will possibly see success because it appears they dont want to run the ball so maybe we can take our blitz and pass rush schemes out for nice spin.

@@danielbell9487 The way I see it, is almost everything went FSU's way. 2 long 4th down conversions, no missed field goals, no bad calls. Meanwhile, GT had a missed field goal and nearly fumbled, and was still able to win. The FSU game was much closer because of this, yet our team was much more physical; we would have one my at least 10 if FSU wasn't lucky. The issue is that in the GSU game, we were the lucky ones, and we still didnt beat them by as much as I would have liked. Many dropped GSU passes that could have become big gains; no real pressure. Minus the coin flip events, GT was the better team in the FSU game, and if we continue that level of playing, we will continue to win games, but if we rely on our enemy to make mistakes, we can't win the games that really matter.

I'd love to see us utilize Boyd like that TE wheel route, there is SO MUCH more we could do to get him the ball, hes a runaway freight train and would really compliment our punishing run attack.

Efford is our only tackler that picks good pursuit angles. Everyone else lags behind the ball carrier and we have to pray Efford is around to save te play.
