My apologies for the late upload - technical problems on my end. Should have Jacksonville State up soon.
Notes off the top of my head:
- Lots of Heavy formation
- A lack of inside veer - instead favoring the counter/belly option
- QB Follow looks to be one of CPJ's favorite plays
- Waiting for Tenn to over commit to the Heavy formation and then ran Rocket Toss backside
- The QB is to thank for a lot of the success on the ground
- Turnovers killed GT. I expect those to get cleaned up

Paul Johnson put on a clinic in this game. great play calls ball control ultimately cost them this one. sure gonna miss this.

I would contend it was the fumble in the red zone after a long run that cost them the game. Cover the ball and the game is over.

Yes to everything you both said. But if they just make that simple field goal, they walk away the victors, you really have to think Tech deserved to win, but they got a lot of bad breaks.

I watched the video. Some of the plays you interpreted as Midline, I interpreted as QB Follow/QB Iso. My assessment mostly follows yours. I see the breakdown as follows: QB Follow/ QB Iso - 16 Zone Dive - 13 Belly Option - 12 Rocket Toss - 7 "Dropback" Pass" - 7 Belly G - 7 QB Counter - 5 Trap - 5 QB Draw - 4 Inside Veer/Triple Option - 3 "Rollout" Pass - 3 Rocket Pass - 3 Counter Option - 2 QB Sneak - 2 Speed Option - 2 A-back Counter-Trey - 1 QB Sweep - 1 Counter Speed Option - 1

I saw one or two where it was difficult to tell midline or follow. One play in OT you called Veer I'm pretty sure was zone dive as there was no arc block by the wingback. Sometimes I have to watch them several times to get all the blocking and tell, but I REALLY appreciate these vids! Great stuff and must take lots of time.

I think Midline you'll see the QB go outside the FB dive, and on follow he's almost diving in right inside of him. Obviously they're trying to read a 3tech, but sometimes on TV camera shots it's very "cloudy" and tough to tell.

Watching this again I just can't believe the pitch was wide open but he didn't pitch it wow tech should be 2-0

you know i'm deep diving right now all this shit cus in a couple years i'm going to coach my boy in rec league running the wing t i know it well from playing in it in high school and I'm just looking at all the stuff on youtube..... long time dawg fan here, have to watch GT atleast once a year, and It's so different seeing their offense from an x's and 0's stand point
