I’m a 66 year old guy from south alabama . First time watching this show. It is hilarious ! I got a girl pregnant my same age. We were 22 at the time. I did not want to get married but I did and now my daughter is 43 with two kids . Life is good .☮️❤️

"I promise you I am not 19" is the funniest shit. This is actually a really nice love story. Georgie learned to be a mature adult real fast and did his best for his baby and baby's mother. Also, I find it funny their IRL age gap is 12 years.

@@AprilScott-ke9fn in all the interviews I've seen lately, Annie Potts seems upset about the end of the show and how it could have kept going on even after George's death. She posted some new head shots (like she was looking for roles) so she may make a cameo appearance here and there but I don't think she'll be a regular. (But I hope I'm wrong!)

What a great father George Sr is - my father never once said to me "if you ever want to talk I'm around". Never. George Sr had such a bad rep from Sheldon on TBBT - I really like the way they made a point of making him such a good guy. My favorite George Sr moment was when he punched out that nasty Clint guy but I gotta add this to that - 2 completely different facets of George Sr being a Stand-Up Guy and being there for them. There's a saying that "85% of life is just 'showing up'" (so true - look at all the guys who never or rarely show up - playas. Man-sized infants). They could have written George to be an 85% guy like that but instead gave him this storyline - without necessarily hitting us over the head with it. Television, when dune thoughtfully, can be a great positive force in our lives by telling stories this way and showing people how a "real man" actually acts. I wish my father had watched this show.

@tina_s7508 I think that Sheldon had a view of his father not being there for him or being a not good father because George didn't understand him so he couldn't bond with him as he somewhat did with Georgie. Also, what probably cemented George as a bad father to Sheldon was when he mentioned in TBBT that he caught George having affair with another woman without either parent finding out but it was retconned that it was Mary role-playing with George as a German woman so it was Sheldon who was wrong about his father.😂😂😂😂

Your wish has come true. CBS just announced that "Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage" will premiere this Fall on September 1.I think it was a no-brainer for them to make this decision. The actors have great chemistry together and their characters are so well written and their storylines are so well written as well.

It's called Georgie and Mandy's First Marriage or something like that. I'm looking forward to it because of Emily Osment (hot af). When she first appeared and I saw it was her, I was like "YES!" and hoping that she'd be a frequent character. Then when it was announced that she'd be added to the opening credits, I was like "YES!" because it meant she was going to be more permanent. Of course, Georgie scoring her was great as well because who doesn't want Georgie to get lucky? So his getting lucky + the girl being played by Emily = DOUBLE WIN!

Watching this makes me smile, knowing that Georgie is going to be the King of tires down the road. I do love the fact that Meemaw treats Mandy like her fourth grandchild. Those 3 are my favorite characters on the show. There is a brand called Cooper tires makes me wonder if it was started by Georgie himself.

Watching Young Sheldon when these two got started and it was when the show really got interesting. Funny moments at the beginning and was always looking forward to the next show of these two together. I'm soo happy that a spin-off series of these two, I hope it's just as funny and entertaining as it was on YS. I hope we get to see some of the old cast be apart of this adventure.

This is a masterpiece of writing, directing and acting. The settings and props are superbly done, as I recognize every little detail from that time period. Even though it's Texas, and not Canada, almost everything is the same. Values, humour, cultural norms, appliances, smart alec remarks, Mustangs and station wagons and their status, Kellogg's, parents and grandparents, crocheted afghans and garage clutter. The biggest difference is the Texas accent, which I love. Montana Jordan is phenomenal. So natural, so attractive and totally adorable. - boomer Canadian

This is by far the best TV show that has been on TV in the last 25 years it is a wonderful show written so beautifully acted so beautifully so many Rich characters and just people that you wish you could know in real life. We all could wish that our daughters would marry someone as sweet as Georgie...
