I am from that part of Crete not too far away. Thank you for filming this!!! Just wanted to point out that those planters placed on the side of the road are illegal. Legally it is the township that dictates where to park or not. There are no municipal parking signs therefore those planters are illegally placed there. Second those planters are a hazard as someone on a motorcycle or bike could potentially crash into them by avoiding another vehicle. The problem with Greece in general is that everyone does whatever comes across their minds, of which many times is wrong and illegal. I am also sure that those white 2 storey ‘buildings’ along the beach front are not legal… the mayor has a lot of explaining to do!
Thank You for the new video! Dear Zameer, If it's not a problem, please make a short series for cyclists as well. Where to safely cover several kilometers by bike. Frankly, Crete is not very bike-friendly now. place. But perhaps there are better roads where cyclists can get around. Thanks in advance.
My wife's parents lived in this village for nearly ten years after retiring from the UK, it's just beautiful and the locals are awesome. We'll be returning soon.
