Y'all, this man played with TOWER OF POWER back in the day! His talent is simply AMAZING!!! He strokes his sax, and gets down to the ground to gives us his sweet sounds coming from his sax. I ADORE HIM! THANKS FOR SHARING!!!!
My goodness! You two make me want to teach again! I have been retired 13 yrs and am so impress by your beautiful musicality! Keep up the beautiful work that you are doing with your God-given ability. You will inspire millions of young musicians (boys and girls) to be just like you! Your soulful playing is a true blessing to all musicians!
I have watched this (Gerald Albright) video over 300 times. Just watch the introductions. The body language, he owns that stage musically 100%. How he bows firstly, particularly how the bass guitarist (Nick Philips), responses positively to his name. How he gesticulates to emphasis the points, Then Gerald says in a very very smooth/stylist manner, is it okay if we just take our time and play all the songs. Then the music, what inspired the Bermuda night etc, This is perfect, for lifting anyone up. Slow smooth jazz. Very beautiful indeed, awesome. Well done, Gerald, you are greatest.
All black brown red and white ears listen to music and we don't discriminate the magic of music and how it makes us all so happy to carry us through another day. Let your ears dance. Great song to fill us up
DAMN, DAMN, I haven't heard from Albright in DECADES! Being 73, you can understand why! I know I have some of those old albums in my collections, but its FASTER & EASIEST to get these old sounds on RU-vid! THANK YOU RU-vid!!!

This song always makes me imagine being in Bermuda!! 🇧🇲 💘 Pink sandy beaches, palm trees, colorful pastel houses, lounge chairs, the ocean, hurricane drinks, daiquiris, pina coladas, rum punch!! 💘 And, of course, a jazz concert going on the island!! 🎷 👗 👡 💃
From the moment the band started I was like ‘who’s THAT on drums?’ That pocket and touch was absolute fire! Then it was introduced as Ricky Lawson and everything made sense. He was a diamond. RIP Ricky

This man doesn't have to speak A WORD, that saxophone speaks of who is in the room or on stage I know it 😉 Just like the Geat's before him when they blow Gerald Albright is a True Blessing and Wonder. Thank you Mr. Albright for sharing your God given talent to the world. No one does it like you 🙂. And thank all you Geat's that preform with him.
Such an impressive array of talent on that stage! This clip truly demonstrates the raw smooth jazz experience. Rest in God's eternal peace, Ricky Lawson...a gifted artist and decent human being taken way too soon.

They died & a new breed came along. I feel the same way about R& B & today it's crap. As far as Funk, it's dead so all we can do is have the memories & our personal collection & feel the groove when we put it on. Bless you!
