Yes he did very well with HIV for some one who got it way back in the 80s I always wondered how that is some people would die right away and others would live a long long time that's strange to me
@@benbanks6302 He was fortunate enough to survive until the antivirals were available. He did suffer from some side effects from the early, extremely toxic pharmaceuticals, and received a liver transplant. He was definitely one of the long-term survivors, and an amazing activist.
Tracking making it hard to watch. It wasn't fun to be in the middle of the AIDS crisis. It was terrifying, even as a promiscuous teenage girl. Get that negative result, right back out there again. Don't think I still don't thank Jesus to this day for being negative.
there are some on here making disgusting remarks these people didn't choose who they are they were born who they are so if you find this show or the topic not of your taste move on instead of leaving vile poisonous remarks
It falls in line with the American way of life. If something negative happens to you. Find someone else to point the finger at and blame them. For the pathetic behavior. The Bible speaks of this very activity. In the Old and New Testaments.
This was also 1989...almost ten years into the massive "safe sex" campaign. I have sympathy and empathy for the folks who got it in the late 70's, or say, 1980. The behavior was sinful, but AIDS was still a mystery. But by 1989? After all the news and public relations work? And you STILL had unprotected, gay sex? With a bunch of dudes? What else did you expect to happen? You can hardly blame Bush at that point. Or claim you "didn't know" how you got it.
